I had an experience like that the other day when I was doing the tower quest that had the Seabed part (can't remember which one it was). I had happened to get the map that was full of Zeles and they kept unequipping my weapon. But, the ones I find the most annoying are Zoas on Ult. The first I entered Ult Seabed, I was walking down a hallway with a locked door at the end, so I stood waiting for the "enemy" to show up to unlock it. Before I knew it, 2 Zoas came flying at me and killed me instantly when I was at full HP (at that was like 900 something at the time). Makes me gringe at what they're like online.

's why I usually run around with a ranged weapon. The lock on noise gives me fair warning that "Yer about to get your ass smacked around, son!"

That would only work if you were facing that direction, that is, if they had a lock on thingy when they're invisible. But, they just warped in invisible and flew at me before I even knew they had shown up.

I've just been using J/Z, which is quite useful for blowing thier cover.

I don't really have a problem with them, Rabarta + JZ are my new best Seabed friends. ^_^ And, yes, they do produce an audible (and visual) lock, it's the other series (the Spiegel and Berril) that don't. You just see your little green target.

Yeah, I was J/Z on them before then, and that's main reason why they were able to kill me, since I didn't have a chance to J/Z them. I'm pretty sure that they don't lock on thingy until they become visible, although the little info window shows up if you would normally lock onto them. But, I haven't spent too much time in the Seabed, so I could be wrong.
