...DDRMAX.

I don't care that I break out a sweat every time I play or that even some of the songs on Light are impossible for me...except if I used a normal controller with my fingers...

IT'S FRIGGIN' FUN!

Great workout too! I need to perfect Lesson 2's revision test, though... >..<

Other than that, I'm practicing my timing with a normal controller, to get things going, and unlocking new stuff to keep me going...

But, ugh, when you hear the stringent requirements to unlock new songs!? CANDY for 200 songs?! The U.S. Exclusive Song for 500 songs?!

I'll go back to Angelic Vision now...*loves that heart-rate monitor sound...and music too!*

And just when DDRMax2 US came out...

Personally, I think DDRMax US is better, heheh.
There are more Bemani songs in DDRMax US, and less
US songs than in DDRMax2 US. But, I suppose it all
depends on what you prefer. Neither US version
has Paranoia Survivor -_-

DDR MAX 2 pissed me off.

I had a 2000+ combo going on Endless Heavy mode then my combo broke on Maxx Unlimited. Then I got mad and haven't played it since.

Some people in Japan have gotten up to a 99999 combo in Endless mode which is the highest. That's my new goal in life. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I like all the songs, except Ska a go go. Worst. Song. Ever.

My favorites are usually songs ported over from beatmania IIDX. My favorite Oni Course is IIDX BOSS.

Ohh. Man, this topic reminds me of all my suicidal friends. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Hmm...

Healing Vision kicks ass. Once I perfect it with my own two feet (using a controller right now to get used to the beats in the game), I'm going to leave it as a finale and look neat.

Should I do Cutie Chasing on Standard as a blooper run? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif'' Silly people watching me dance to the cute music...

Home versions suck, because home pads suck. Heh. Thankfully, we have a DDR Extreme machine here. (Boo, I want the 3rd Korean2 back. I need my Ba Kkwo, goddamn it.)
Let's see... Some of my favorites...

Dam Dariram
Ba Kkwo
Face
Tell Me Tell Me
Wa
Byul
Bu Dam
Shock
Starian(Yes, I do like the Korean songs. That a problem? >P)
Paranoia Rebirth
Look to the Sky
Nori Nori Nori
God of Romance
Hold on Me(And Eurobeat. Yes, I do know a couple of Para Para routines. Fear my sadness)
Drop the Bomb
Silent Hill(Great song for the middle of July, haha)
If You Were Here
Boom Boom Dollar
Sakura
V
A
Burning Heat!(3 Option Mix)
True... (Trance sunrise mix)

Pink Rose
.59
Dance Dance Revolution
The Twist
There are at least several I'm either forgetting or am sitting here humming and knowing the words to, but completely forgetting their names. Heh.

I thought A was awesome until I heard V

Mixfortune

Play V on Oni steps, really fun.

Yeah home versions are not so great compared to the
arcade, but that is pretty obvious. I usually go
for the Red Octane foam insert pads. A lot better
than those $20-25 ones, yet they still last half a year
at best.

EDIT- Heheh, forgot Speed Over Beethoven and
Saints Come Marching.

Just wondering...do you all play DDR using crossovers?
I can try to explain them if you have no idea what I'm
talking about.

If you like V, you should listen to Antonio Vivaldi's "Allegro Non Molto"

V was based off that song.

Rhythm and Police heavy is nearly impossible without doing them.

Mixfortune
Sep 30, 2003, 04:07 PM
It's doable without crossovers, just easier and more
fun if you do them. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
Same for Exotic Ethnic.

Richard

Oohhh, pivoting. Yeah, I think most people use crossovers.

I would like to see someone do the end of PARANOIA survivor MAX (Oni) -without- pivoting. Now that would be impossible. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Wait a cotton friggin' minute...

I just went through an INFURIATING 15 minutes to get Max 300 through Roulette, and I beat it fair and square! Why didn't the game save it!? *bawls*

Mixfortune
Oct 1, 2003, 01:22 AM
It didn't save the record or it didn't unlock it?
If I remember correctly, to unlock it you have to
play a certain number of songs, or beat Max300 on
Extra Stage. I don't think beating it on Roulette will
unlock it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Great, another 30 songs to play...I just unlocked Abyss, so...

Stupid Bemani...THAT SONG WAS FAST!

I made my public debut today, in Disneyland.

I ended up with the DDR Extreme version, and I did Beginner games.

I was nervous because not only I would play in front of others, but I wouldn't know the songs. Fortuneately, I saw Cutie Chaser and Rhythm & Police (K.O.G G3 Mix), and since I saw it here, I played V. That song kicked!

After about 3 rounds, I decided to do Light...

Why in the hell did Light kick my ass!? Jebus! Cutie Chaser was manageable, but Speedy Beetoven (I think) was...ugh.

I am now seriously determined to get better. But first, some rest...*cramped legs and an upset stomach*

Stupid pizza...

Richard

Wow, they have Extreme at Disneyland? How much is it for how many songs?

I may have to go down there sometime.

Reenee

4 tokens for 3 songs, like DDRMAX. 4 Tokens for $1.

This dude over there was KICKING SERIOUS ASS with the fast songs. He had like 460 combo on Max 300. Incredible. He was perfect at other songs too.
