Hi! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif As the subject would suggest, I'm pretty new to pso (completely new to these forums), and as yet, I have not played the online mode. However, whenever I get the chance to play I'm working hard to level up my lv16 HUnewearl and I'm slowly getting the hang of things. If anyone would be kind enough to reply to this message (or private message me) with advice/help/tips/tactics that I might not - or should - know, I would be very grateful, as I'm exceedingly green. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Welcomehttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif!!!!! I would be honored to show you the ropes. I see your Eurpoean which is kinda nice cause I work goofy hours here in the states and often play early morning, which must be around prime time for you, judging on the amount of of folks from across the big pond I run into.

Anyway welcome again to the boards. It can get a little strange here from time to time, but thats what I like about ithttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif.

Oh and by the way....I am the most beautiful girl on Pioneer 2http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif. MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Hey, another person from england!
(I haven't put that on mine yet...)

heres a tip for you...

When you know you can easily take a boss on pick on it for easy Exp, also, don't collect any of the slicer family... its not worth much...

Check on your mag frequently and if you can raise a second for another purpous (i'm raising one to learn spells alone)

On the harder difficulties (have to beat the game for this) the enemies are faster so you want a weapon that will eitehr clear an area quickly or get multiple strikes (shotgun for rangers!)

Keep any weapons with high percentages (not negative ones) against machine and Dark as they'll be handy... the machine ones are easy... the mines are pretty patcheic but you should still be carefull...

Uhh... check out the soul easter FAQ on some page as it'll help you get a decent weapon some time... (a rareish one)

All i can think of at this time... (5 AM)

Another UK person! ^__^

Anyway... tips...

To level up faster, learn a gizonde/razonde, gifoie/rafoie, or gibarta/rabarta. Use it at the start of any fight when there's a lot of enemies. Even if it does minimum damage, it still counts as you hitting the enemy, and thus, if the enemies are killed by your possible stronger team mates, then you'll gain EXP just for that. Most people I know think this is okay... heck, I did it myself when helping some new people train up.

Another thing to beware of is the BSOD - Black Screen Of Death. This is basically when you realise you can't pick up items, and any words you type, don't appear on screen. Chances are, this is BSOD approaching. If so, disconnect, do not switch off. Pull out the phone cord, and wait for the disconnect message. Why? BSOD can do a lot of nasty things to a character...

And help other people when you can, such as help them EXP up if they're at a lower level...

And stuff like that. ^_^ The majority of PSO World people usually go to Puck 9, for the most part, so since you're from England, play on 60Hz, and visit US-Puck, Block 9, lobby 1...

And hopefully, you might see some of us there. ^_^

I'll have to remember that, Us ship puck, Block 9 lobby 1... I'll try and see you around some time... lol... and your looking for a whitill called Fong Sai-Yuk - and don't blame me if i'm rubbish, my L85+ char's gone... He was cool... Sometimes...

oh yeah... tips... keep all the scape dolls you get when you find them and always have at two on you... sell items in storage or give them away or trade them to make space if you have to - scape dolls WILL keep you alive longer when you need them... or save your weapon sometimes from theives

Thanks very much you lot, that's really helpful. I'll bear all of that advice in mind. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif What with all the bad things I hear happen.. thieves, PK'ing (that's over now then?).. well, it's all quite worrying.

Yep, and I do indeed come from sunny old England. Which makes going online an absolute pain when it comes to the phone bill (I suppose this is compensation for the glorious weather). But as soon as I get the chance to, I'll definitely be going online. My character's name is also Thea, section ID Redria, and I'll keep an eye out for all of you. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Glorious weather? You're joking! It's been snowing and raining for the last month! ^_^;;

For the phone thing, I've been pointing this out to UK people. ^_^ Visit this place... the author (I presume) pointed this to me, so I may as well do the same. ^_^

If you have the right things on your computer or a friend's computer... you might be able to set up a cheaper service. ^_^

Hope to see you on the world of PSO! ^_^

I'm in the same boat (being new) =/
My single player character fits in good though
