does anyone know of any spyware track/deleters that I don't have to pay for? All the free ones I've found end up requiring me to pay for the deletion of the files, and I don't feel like paying for all that. So, any suggestions?

I use Lavasoft Ad-Aware. It may not delete the files, but it quarentines them, making them stop doing what they are mad to do. Also, C-net I think it was had quite a few, just type in ad aware, you'll get a few different results.

Here is a good site to check out also:

http://www.spychecker.com/

The site allows you to see if a particular program (if its in their database) includes spyware. Helps sometimes to know before you install something.

But what I'm looking for is something that actually deletes the files and blocks them....so I guess I'd actually have to pay for them eh?

Ad Aware Pro does a great job of deleting and blocking them using the Ad Watch app that it comes with.

I ended up using spybot search and destroy, I haven't gotten any popups, so I guess it works. I still get those double search windows, that sometimes cause fatal errors, and kills my internet explorer. Any ideas?

with Ad aware if find them, blocks them, and you have the choice to delete them when found. The files you NEED to be aware of with Spyware is the foriegn registry keys.

I say foreign, as in not originally on your computer.
