Well since I saw another forum user post a thread about a dream he had, I thought I'd dedicate a whole topic on the matter.

What are some of your best dreams or worst nightmares?

One nightmare I had was when I dreamed I was diagnosed with cancer 10 days before I was supposed to die. I had no idea I was dreaming and I thought it was completely real. My family members came and sobbed for me while I did the things I most wanted to do in my life before I entered my eternal sleep. One of the scariest moments of my life, and when I woke up and realized it was just a dream, I was ecstatic. Made me appreciate what I had that much more.

What are some of your guys most memorable dreams?

Best dream EVAH: Two bouncers attack me. I transform into a super monster android, flip out and kill the whole town like one of those ninjas at Realultimatepower.com or whatever that is.

Worst dream EVAH: I transform into a super monster android... And then I shoot my father. O.O;;;

does anyone know what Lucid Dreaming is? theres books on it, but also more ecently an idependant film called "Waking Life" by Richard Linkletter, who just did School of Rock with Jack Black. the whole movie is done in the cell-shaded-esque CG ala Earthlink commericials. its a geat movie visualy and contentually (lol is that a word?) anyhoo lucid dreaming is when you are aware of the fact you are dreaming in the dream. you can make conscious decisions and eventually with practice learn to become lucid at will, then control your dreams content. someone in the movie boasts that they have acquired 360 degree vision in their dreams. the limits are endless. the movies point is to combine the limitlessness of dreams with your waking life.
they say people with recurring dreams or nightmares have the best chance at becoming lucid, but anyone can do it. you just have to train yourself to recognize things that can only happen in dreams to make yourslef aware its a dream. for intance light levels cannot be adjusted so if you see a light switch, try to flip it on and off. if nothing happens youre probably dreaming. youre supposed to try this in waking life as well so it becomes a more natural action in dreams and you will queston more if it is a dream or real. no one really walks around asking themselves if they are dreaming you know? also theres no graviy in dreams so if you jump youll most likely start flying or floating. this kind of thing is very interesting to me. the book i read on it was written by a scientist who pioneered the research onlucid dreaming. before his work, the scientific community was not even sure these kinds of dreams existed or were possible. any way im not good at remembering my dreams, and dream recall is very vital in becoming lucid. i've told a couple people about this, and just them thinking about it was enough to let them become lucid. its different for everyone, give it a try. I'll make it a long story short for those who don't feel like reading the huge paragraph:

Lucid Dreaming means knowing you dream, hence allowing you to do almost anything since you know it's all not real. ;P

I made a topic similar to this before.
May aswell share my weirdest ever dream again if you missed it the first time.

I dreamt that I walked into a MacDonalds 'Superstore' (It looked alot like a supermarket) and it was the set of the New Star Wars Movie! (I don't even like Star Wars But I had been messing around with a Jabba the Hut Figure before I went to Bed.)
I can't remember alot of it now but I do know that Detective Culumbo Was Starring as 'Darth Vader'.
I've been diagnosed as insane since then.

Best/worst dreams? I don't know about that, but I've had some really mess up dreams...

if you have ever addictively played a text based game (Ex: an MUD)... like me...

I've had dreams in writing... Letters, no pictures. yeah...

And my picture dreams are like looking though a kalidascope while high. Although I have never done that...

I've had dreams where everyone at school is an evil Vampire/Demon trying to eat me, and I know every time some thing bad is going to happen, but i smile and go along anyway.
"Come over here!"
"Ok, even though I know you will turn evil, I will, and then run for my life!"

And dreams you get when you're sick are the best! I've had dreams that would make the best war zones for a game ever!

My dreams are inredible. I actually thnk I can control my dreams to a certain extent, which is good fun. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

But I have to say that my best dream that I've ever had was when I was inside a story I wrote myself. I got to battle along side my own main character and battled against all my own creations. The setting and everything was as I imagined it. It was amazing! I got to see and take part in something I made up. It was also great, cause the main character knew my name.

Plus, I got to use a cool sword. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

hmm ive heard of those lucid dreams before. Ive dreamt and known i could open my eyes but kept dreaming only because i didnt want to wake up. Its a form of lucid dreaming i suppose, choosing to be consiouse or asleep. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

Woah, I tried the remembering your dreams part, and I remembered 5 separate dreams! i haven't remembered my dreams that much in years!

Too bad I didn't write it down like it told me to....

I don't remember a thing now...

The only good thing is, at least I have about 30000 more times I can try this stuff....

Ever had one of those dreams when your half awake, and when you fall down in the dream, you wake up and it feels like you just tripped and fell on your bed? Happens to me sometimes, does it happen to anyone else, or am I just crazy?

My best dream involved Psylocke, Led, and Asuka-chan and involved mass amounts of Mello Yello ... but I'm not going into detail.

Best: Inside a giant yellow robot with rollerblades fighting random stuff, and crushing towns (think Impact levels from Mystical Ninja 64)

Worst: I had to watch some guy kill my dog... I think i was about 8, and it disturbed me for days.

T-B: I dreamed that I bought Sonic Heroes before everyone! No, seriously. I rarely make nightmares or dreams that change my life. But there were so many good dreams I made when I was young...I can hardly explain each of them. But my first nightmare involved me in a volcano facing a ugly dragon (I was young, so of course monsters scared me). And I tell ya, he was ugly. Now I laugh each time I think of it. But the thing is...I was trapped, but he was staying around, scaring me for hours. I was paralysed with fear: I laugh at him for hours now. My most classic dream. But my greatest dream has taken about a whole day (I was quite asleep, lol). It's like I was in a virtual place with many characters and trying to destroy the evil. But that dream was, OH YES, my most enjoyable dream. When I was up, I had tears (not crying like a baby), learning that it was just a dream. Too bad this one cannot come true. And my most funny dream was truly wicked: I was making rodeo with the Withe Shark from Ecco- Defender of the Future. It's true! He was bumping in walls, hoping to knocking me. But he started to go to the surface (guess why...). He was scary at first when I played the game, but I begin playing with him instead killing him for a Vitalit Crystal. It's officialy Ecco's most enjoyable sport.

Best Dream: After watching SW Ep: II and Smallville in one night, I had the best dream of Natalie Portman and Kristin Kreuk (Hot asian girl in Smallville) making out right in front of me....

Worse Nightmare: I saw my best friend(female) get killed in front of me by a group of Yakuza gang members all because I didn't tell them directions on how to get to Downtown San Diego..... It scared me to the fullest... I called her and woke her up at 1:30 in the morning to see if she was okay....

Actually I have had a number of rather kewl dreams that hopefully will some day be compiled into a short story anthology. My short novel "Polar Hearts" is based off of a dream I had while in Hawaii some years ago. (Kind of strange to be dreaming about fortresses in the middle of an arctic abyss while in Hawaii, but that's hindsight for you.) And then of course there is my Dreamscape world that is under development...Still debating whether or not I want to put that story up on my website or not...

I've had a number of nightmares but they're only vivid for those times just after you wake up. The more time in between them the harder they are to remember. Really, it's the experience of the thing that makes it so vividly terrifying.

My best dreams involve alot of me running around, tracking people down, and usually ending with violence.

I don't know, anyone ever get to feel pain in their dreams? I've been impaled afew times, shot all over(many times over) and stabbed. That doesn't make it a bad dream, because for alot of the dream I was doing the same thing to others, so I figured it was just how things played out. But then I'm a lucid dreamer, thus.

One dream had me going to a bar every night, but I was only able to acknowledge when I got to the bar and sat down for my drinks, aside from that there wasn't anything, but I realised in the dream it was a nightly thing. Go, have a drink, and then I'd notice people eyeing me, and then they wondered why I came in every night and drank by myself alone.

...and it ended with me being shot in the back while drinking. Go figure!

Could'nt say any of those were nightmares though, because I was relaxed through it all. I only consider something a nightmare if I start gasping for breathe and choking, thus jerking awake reaching into the air and sitting up abruptly.

My worst dreams, one i was asleep and i had woke up in the middle of the night and all the power was off in my house, so i sat up in my bed and looked outside and saw everyone elses lights were on but mine. Then i looked down and standing in my front yard was this man staring straight up at me. i got out of bed and yelled out to my family about the man outside and the power but no one answered, so then i went back to the window and the man was gone and i heard a noise downstairs like the door opening, then like i heard scary music in the dream and i made my way toward the stairs and looked down into pitch darkness then woke up =(

Second dream, i was lying in bed facing the wall, then my fan cut off and i heard some heavy breathing in my doorway, then like the light from in the hall slowly got engulfed in this shadow and the heavy breathing kept getting closer and closer to me, then i woke up in the same position as i was in the dream and i was afraid to turn around and look at my doorway =(

Best/funniest dream, i dreamt i was in holywood homicide with Josh Hartnett, and i shot someone in the foot for information. I dont know im weird =P
