View Full Version : GC-Item: RED WEAPONS!!!
I seriously need 2 no how difficult it is to get a red weapon. I'm a greennil and trying 2 get a red handgun from tollaws in forest. I have found out the easiest place 2 get it is "Soul of a Blacksmith". I've redun it like 10 times and never found 1. 4 all greennils that hav found this weapon... how long did it take u 2 get it?

easiest red wep to find for me was redria red handgun from a pal rappy. My 2nd run in ult and boom pal rappy first rare monster for me.

i found a red dagger my 1st time through ult caves, lol, i was lvl 70 something, and the sec i killed the crimson assassin i was killed by an ob lily, so he drops the red box, and i'm looking at this red box through my death screen, lol, luckily i was playing offline http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif, and then i did the same thing again, lol

lol, if red weapons are so rare i guess im just lucky. i found 3 red sabers, 1 red dagger, and 1 red handgun..... all accidentally! i didnt think they were all that rare if i found them like that. and all 5 of those were in the period of 1 week.

Red Weapons are the least rare of the somewhat uncommon rares you'll find in ULT. If you pipe a rare enemy, you'll have about a 50 50 shot.

Well i'd say middle difficult, I've found everything except... RED PARTISAIN(sp?) RED MECHGUNS (but i suck using mechguns, if i find em they're up for grabs)
The RED SWORD by far my fav of the RED weaps, I collect em! My dream is to find a RED SWORD with hit% and nothing else (perfect to upgrade how i see fit!)

since i didnt think they were rare i even found another red saber... gave it to the other, not so great hunter in the group. and after that week i even found red mechguns. i almost have the whole collection now. just need the sword and the partisan.
i guess i am just lucky

Lol even though i find swords easy (skyly) I found my RED SWORD from a Govulmer through my 5th run through caves at lvl 95. And my CHAINSAWD about 2 hours earlier.
If you want to find it, dont look for it. Just like me, you'll find it "accidentily." Look for something else like a...Demolition Comet perhaps.

I got my Red Handgun from a Pal last night. Also got an unexpected Sacred Cloth from an El rappy in the process.
Both rares, same run, what luck.

The red weapons are only 10 stars so they aren't that hard to find (for most of them). Personally, I've found a Red Saber, a couple of Red Handguns, 2 Red Slicers, and a Red Dagger.

WHAT!?!?! Rn't Hard 2 find...i've run through "soul of a blacksmith like 35 times to find tollaws (greennil red handgun monster) and haven't found 1!
In caves, greennils get red daggers from pan arms... i've fought like 100 pan arms and never got ne thing!!!

They spell "Heathcliff", not "heathcliff flowen". Perhaps if they had Rod, Rifle, Shot, Cane, and Wand, there'd be "Flowen", but no, Red Weapons are pretty much geared towards Hunters. Probably because Flowen made them (hunter) for Rico (also a hunter, HUmarl I believe). How a HU can use the Mechs... that's beyond me.
the hardness of finding red weapons might depend on what your id is, my bro is a yellowboze and he has found a few red handguns w/ hit like 20-30, and a few red sabers, my redria fomar has only found one red slicer from a nano dragon, and my greenil has found none. Also, i thought that hu's cant use red mechguns.

I found a Red Sword completly by accident. When I picked up the box, I had my ranger, so I couldn't equip it to see what it was, and I forgot about it, thinking it was some junk rare, till I got back to the tekker. When I tekked it, I was very surprised (in a good sort of way http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif).
Red Weapons are pretty much geared towards Hunters. Probably because Flowen made them (hunter) for Rico (also a hunter, HUmarl I believe). How a HU can use the Mechs... that's beyond me.
Can the Red Mechgun be used by a HUmar. According to the HUmar character guide, he is supposed to be able to use mechguns, but the specific guide for the Red Mechgun doesn't mention HUmars as being able to use them. It would be cool if they did, because I am actively searching for the whole Red collection, and think it would be kind of cool if I could have one character able to use the whole set!

Some red weapons are very easy to find if you look properly (e.g. Red Handgun, Red Saber, Red Partisan) - others are harder (Red Slicer, Red Mechguns).
To anyone looking for a Red weapon from Tollaws / Pans / Melqueeks etc - stop. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif It'd be quicker to level another character to ULT than search that way.
Red Handgun -
Easiest Drop
Pal Rappy (Redria)
El Rappy (Purplenum)
Bartle (Yellowboze)
Ob Lily (Whitill)
Tollaw (Greenil)
Hardest Drop
If you have Purplenum or Redria characters in ULT just do Fake in Yellow runs - it'll drop in reasonable time. I've found plenty of the Red Weapons. So far I've found; 2 Red Sabers, 4 Red Handguns, 1 Red Partisan, and 1 Red Mechgun. Right now I'm searching for a Red Sword from Melqueek, and so far I've gotten 2(two) Pds from them http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif
Oh and the Red Mechs CANNOT be equiped by HUmar.

I don't know why I'm even posting, but unless it's found from a rare enemy, you'll end up finding it by accident. There's no way the game will drop you 2 rares in a row... so just be glad about the other stuff you've found.
Honestly... Whining on the internet won't make things appear. Just play through the game, then go back and do Soul of a Blacksmith runs.
Oh, and by any chance, have you tried completing the quest with the Blue Material and requesting a the top weapon? You'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the game if you just beat the quest and get a God Hand. It's much better than any Red Weapons you can find anyway.
