it depends on the item and the rare monster. you will never get a rare 100% of the time though..

i found 5 mil lilly in ult caves (same run) didn't get agito 1975 once (i'm whitill so that the item i get)

rare enimies are more likley to give a rare then a normal enemy, but do not always give a rare.

This probably should be in Mag, Quest, Item, Section ID.

But rare monsters in Hard + Very Hard almost always drop their rare (normal would if they all had a set rare drop). I have only had one time when a Hard/Very Hard rare didn't drop its rare, and that was a multiplayer Love Rappy (we found 3 in Temple Alpha, the rest dropped their rare {Supressed Gun}, so it wasn't that bad).

You'll grow to hate Hildetorrs. I've seen 16 Hildetorrs on BLUEFULL on GC and XBOX combined, and I have zilch to show for it. No Heaven's Punisher.

Not that bad, the only better way to get it in my opinion is from Pinkal Pals, but thats only because you don't have to put up with Megid and paralysis. They should have the same chance of dropping though, and I say it woiuld probably be less than 40, almost sure it would be less than 50. Unless you have luck like me, multiplayer offline (Whitill) piping for Hildetorrs and killed 3, none dropped the Frozen Shooter; my Whitill friend says he saw 2 without me and they didn't drop it either, so 5 and no FS http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif , then it may take you a while. But then, it could take only 1 or 2 Mils.

Yes always, although, 4 sum reason, wen i was usin my redria, i found a al rappy on normal (yay), i got the item 4 sum reason, i got a trimate... with i big sigh, i continued.

Heh, my Greennill's gone through five torrs and only has one FS to show for it. x_X damn torrs...

I think generally rare enemies' rare drop rate is 1/2 except in the case of very rare items like the whittil agito or the purplenum P. wand. Then its something like 1/21

1/2 for 10 star drops, but for higher it's quite a bit more. 1/40 is closer to the number usually given.

odds are 1 in 21 or something close to that. the rare normally shows up around 15 for me.

Rare enemies don't always drop a rare as seen in one of my above posts. A Hard Love Rappy didn't drop its Supressed Gun for me. But the one Pal Rappy I did see (offline multiplayer again) did drop its Red Handgun.
