Anyway will someone please be kind enough to look up and tell me what Tim Duncan # 21 for the san antonio spurs overall rating is my friend eh http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif associate i guess seems to apparently dislike Tim Duncan because he modified his rating down to a 91 while kevin garnetts rating is a 97 and Shaqille O'neals is a 92 but Tim Duncan is the 2 time MVP of the league back 2 back anyway can someone help me out.

Hmmm come on now dime lets face it,before you make ignorant statments like the one above look at the statistics.

Kevin Garnett had a better team then Tim Duncan by far last year. Tim duncan only had tony parker the admiral david robinson and malik rose. hmmm everyone else is pretty much a non factor and to tell the truth players like genobelli jackson and the gang would not even be nearly as good as they are if not for him.

KG has alot of pre proven talent in wally zerbiak, troy hudson.

Plus lets not forget that when the playoff series versus the LAKERS was on the line KEVIN GARNETT folded like a chair i mean come on sure the lakers are the better team, but if you are to be considered a true MVP you atleast have to show that you have the ability to lead your troops into battle. FACT: You are aware that kevin Garnett did not even have the highest scoring average for his team in that series right??? he let troy hudson lead the timberwolves LMAO.Troy Hudson had every sports analyst saying who and the hell is this guy and that the key to beating the Timberwolves was to let garnett get his but try to stop troy hudson.

That does not sound like MVP credentials to me,a true MVP candidate takes all of the trash around him and makes it shine like platinum. just like TIM DUNCAN did last year

So as you can clearly see it was a very close race between the two, and they both had very impressive numbers but the NBA simply considers which player has the least talent on paper, when deciding the MVP.

Hey atleast he won the allstar MVP he can pretend that its a NBA ring LMAO

The fact that you dug up all that info to TRY and prove me wrong is pretty sad. You should be embarassed. Most of what you said is bullshit anyway.

The only other good player on KG's team is Hudson. Wally didn't do shit in the playoffs. KG pretty much single handedly got them there. You can't base value (only) on stats, which is what most of you silly TD fanboys do. KG is also the more dominant player as well.

Oct 18, 2003, 03:40 PM
Hmmm well espn statistics are all that matters im right your wrong, the league owners each get to place one vote for the MVP so its not my fought if more teams think that DUNCAN is better then Garnett its a well known fact that the player with the best numbers always gets the MVP.
yes KG is like the most dominate small forward right now to bad he has a easier task at hand he never has to stick shaq,Ben wallace, jamaine o'neal i mean come on the small forward posiition is pretty weak right now in the NBA http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
also you said that numbers cant determine the best players.NEWS FLASH MORON YOU GET INTO THE HALL OF FAME BASED ON WHAT KIND OF NUMBERS YOU PUT UP IN YOUR CAREER why else do you think people like john stockton will get in to the Hall of fame while players with 5 championship rings like Jack Haley 3-bulls 1- spurs will not 1 -lakers http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif will not.

the bottomline is that you are a waste of time, because you have now logical reason why KG should have won the MVP other then i like him more.

*and for the record i hope that you stay a member of PSOW for the remainder of this season because KG has a very very good team now with sprewell, cassell & wally. his weak ass better make it out of the first round of the playoffs, and they better make it further then the spurs whos talent is basicly gone with the departure of robinson and jackson http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif
so expect to be hearing from me periodiclly during this season.

im not a duncan fan im a spurs fan, he just so happened to end up on the same team as my other favorite player david robinson.
oh one more stat for you did you know that only 2 players in NBA history have started there careers making both the all nba 1st team and all nba 1st defensive team in 5 or more consectutive seasons.guess who Robinson his first 7 years and duncan has for his first 6.

PS KG HAS BEEN IN THE NBA 2 YEARS LONGER BUT DUNCAN HAS MORE POINTS,REBOUNDS,BLOCKS,ASSISST,AND STEALS THEN HIM http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif OH YEAH GARNETT HAS A STAT BETTER THEN DUNCAN ALSO HE HAS MORE TURNOVERS http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Ooops i almost forgot to mention that your pointless post didnt even relate to my question.Which brings me to believe that you must be between the agaes of 5-10 years old so you cant grasp the, understanding of statistics yet http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif go ahead say what you would like but im not returning to this post to comment on it because your previous post, your comical debate
and you are pointless and a waste of my time.

This could have all been avoided if you just either would have said KG or TD have the higher rating or just not said any damn thing at all duh.

I really think it was a toss up between both KG and TD. Both are awesome players and put up amazing numbers (KG lead in triple doubles and double doubles in the league I believe) but you don't win championships with one player EXO. Spurs had a supporting cast and role players that did specific things very well (Robinson rebounding, Rose's defense, ect). The wolves didn't have specialists, just well rounded players, and Wally didn't do anything in the playoffs. KG couldn't do it by himself just like Jordan wouldn't have won all those championships if he didnt have pippen, and yeah, I did just say that.

Since it's pointless to argue with a dumbass who only looks at numbers, it's safe to say I won this argument.

If you want to argue further AIM me.

I just checked NBA.com...

For career totals KG has more than TD in Points, Rebounds, Steals, and Assists.

The fact that you can't read or research material properly brings me to believe you're somewhere between the ages of 11-13.

heh you know what dime you were almost right but , i was not wrong just do to me being sleepy,i said better stats what i ment was better career averages.

TD
22.9 PPG
3.20 APG
12.3 RPG
2.5 BPG

KG
19.4 PPG
4.0 APG
10.4 RPG
1.7 BPG

so if you can see what i really was saying is that with the exception of assist duncan does a better all around job http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Oh yeah and as far as you trying to say, im like 10 or whatever you said i already used that one http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif and once again your lack of ability to come up with your own original material simply validates my previous opinion http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

STOP side busting anyway i guess i have to educate you also http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif
lets just break it down like this
the number 1 seed in the east last year was detroit at 50 wins
the number 8 seed in the west last year the suns had 45 wins they also only lost 6 games versus the eastern confernce last year and 4 of those where by 6 points are less. Now just imagine if they played all of those east confernce teams 4 times a season instead of just twice so the answer is clearly YES

The only dumbass in this thread is you Dime for arguing KG is better.

Since joining the NBA, the Twolves and KG have won 57%.
Since joining the NBA, TD and the Spurs have won 69%.

KG has never even won a playoff series.

Statistically (you only hate stats right now because KG loses on almost every aspect) TD is better.
TD also has 2 championships comapared to a total of 0 for KG (and there is no way in hell that number is changing)
Just because TD is boring to watch and doesn't act like a thug on and off the court, does not make him worse than KG.
I'll never forgot KG's ignorant ass sitting in a press conference after game 4 vs the Lakers almost in tears saying "we had em, they knew we had em". Well, you almost had the MVP too you goddam loser but that doesn't mean shit to anyone (except an idiot like Dime) does it?

KG = Losing crybaby
TD = Proven winner

That pretty much explains why Dime loves KG and hates TD.

NKOTB thank you very much, finally someone with a stright head on threre shoulders also can look at reality, you are absonlutly correct TD is kinda boring but is is also a silent assassin and his nick name is THE MACHINE for a reason and thats because just like with most machines you almost always get the same results.

The above is a very well said point my friend.
