Another rumour doing the rounds regarding last nights testing is that Sega/MS are testing linking the US/EU servers. Does anyone know anything about this ? It would make a lot of sense, I don't even know why it wasn't there from the start.Not too many people on the EU servers.

As i said in a different thread, it would make sense for them if they did, i mean hardly anyone plays in EU now. If they linked them, could they not take at least one of the ships down and save a bit of money?

It makes sense all round. I have both GC and Xbox versions.I chose the xbox version because of voice chat rather than that stupid keyboard thing. The only thing I prefer in the GC version is the linked ships.Add this to the xbox version and I'm sure this will be the best version around.The quests will catch up at some point

err xbox has to many hacks to be called the best...but yes linking ships only makes sense but you know microsoft is a huge giant retard and fails at every thing...so dont hope for linked ships any time soon...

I mean, really, do you actually go on the xbox one? the only things going around are duped stuff, you cant multi equip, max stats or any crap like that because of the patch

on another note, i love my box and all, but there is one rumore that is a thorn in my side. that the box will get new quest!!!!

More importantly, it is YOUR choice to use hacks and play with hackers. So back off the Xbox. Now for the issue at hand...

They should join Japan, US and Europe. I do not care if I cannot understand the other person and what they are saying. We have all the tools to make it work. You can ban voices, use world chat, etc to communicate. I am certain that more people from Europe and Japan would add to the overall PSOX experience. That was one of my favorite things in DC PSO, the ability to play with people from all over the world. I truly hope they do this. However, I believe there are some technical difficulties that might prove too difficult to resolve.

do the math my man, we have like one for every five they have, that's not that quick to me, and it's not negativity, it's reality. um the japan servers only have 1 more quest then us and that is the east tower quest everything else they have we have the same, unless u can tell me different?

I'm suprised no one mentioning about XBox Live being a closed server... I mean, I'm not a technical Internet guy, so I guess it might be possible, but that's why the XBox Servers aren't all linked.

for what its worth.. thats not *entirely* correct. I've played quite a few games of Moto GP with several people speaking anything from German to what seemed like Chinese.

the most it could take for ST to link the servers, worst case scenario, would be to patch the game to allow it

Anyway, I think it has more to do with the actual regional Xbox Live systems not being linked themselves. However, I don't think this entirely applies to PSO, not entirely, anyway. The servers are configured a little differently having all those Xbox Live features, but I believe they're still basically more or less the same as GCN's. Microsoft originally cited some sort of security issue as to why the PSO Episode I & II were not linked, but, hmm, with subsequent upgrades and whatnot to the system the possibility may open up in the future, I believe.

I've played with someone from Australia. I don't remember what they told me how they did it. This is on PSOX, btw. It really surprised me. Tho their accents weren't surprising. But yes they were using a chip for their box, not that I know if it makes a difference. I just don't remember what he/she said how they were running it, from Australia, nonetheless. XBL, is indeed, a dedicated server (closed if u want to call it that), but I don't see any reason why the server couldn't still be a dedicated one but still linked around the world. The only other reasons are money, time, regional problems, conspiracy, the hieroarchy...

Tho, I'd love to have the servers linked like the DC (and GCN).
