ill use club of laconium as an example.

http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=37&sortby=class

why does it say: ATP + 70-95?

does it mean that if you were to find two clubs of laconium, that one could give you 70 ATP, while the other could give 95 ATP?

or are the ATP boosts based on what class equips it?
say a FOmar equips it and it gives 70 ATP, whil a FOmarl equipping it would get a 95 ATP boost?

any light shed onto this would be gladly appreciated

Some weapons will have varibals in them. Like ATP ATA and all thos things can have small varibals. Grinders can also affect that. Think of 2 db's sabers on a humar with it equiped lets say it gos up to 280 atp. now lets say he uses the other DB's saber with a grind of 2. his ATP would go up to 284 if the DBs had the smae base stats but he might get one that had more making it go up to 290 if he was lucky. Well thats to my knowlade at least.

i should have mentioned this in the thread starter, but i realise its nothing to do with grinders.

+9 is the max grinder for this wep, so:
club of laconium = ATP boost 70
club of laconium +9 = ATP boost 88

Let me use this as an example.

StinkFrame:
DFP + 54-124
EVP + 20-86

Now then.. down to details:

DFP +54-124. You can get variable stats. If you find one your defense power could be raised by 54 up to 124.

This works the same for weapons. If you have more then one of an item/weapon/sheild/armor more then likely the stats will not be the same. For example: I found a Stink Frame that gave me +118 defense. I figure that you can found one with much less or more.

Grinders factor into the atp AFTER the variables.

But, there's a difference: armor stats are always set.

But then, why are there variables in the Armor database (IE my stink frame stats.). You say they are set, but I have found one not with the stats you show. Someone is wrong.

I think they mean that once you find the armer/barrier/shield/frame it will always have the same stats.

Weapons don't have set stats. So if it says 70-95 or whatever, it can add 95 ATP to one attack, 70 on the next, and 83 on the last. That is a range of how much ATP is added for each attack, so it can be any number in that range. The weapon will always be shown giving you the maximum ATP.

Edit:

ATA added is always constant. The only way ATA can change is if the item has Hit %. Each 5% Hit = 5 ATA more on the weapon than the normal no Hit % weapon.
Example: Double Sabers add 35 ATA, but I have one with 20% Hit, so, mine adds 55 ATA instead of 35.

Oh. I understand that now.

But on weapons, I bet your right now that I think about it, Ketchup.

i see! so thats also why there is sometimes a slight difference in the damage you do from one hit to the next in a combo.

*does a combo*
1st hit-83
2nd hit-82
3rd hit-85
*booma dies*

thanks everyone!

Yeah, I was trying to say that when you look at the armors in the database, those numbers are the possible stats you can get in that range. Obviously it would be very hard to get the highest amount of DFP/EVP availible. As a side note, EFR/EIC/ETH/ELT/EDK are always set.
