ARgh! I took a couple of quizzes at Quizilla and went to Discovery.com mainpage, and I get POPUPS!

I don't know whats going on, I didn't install anything. I only get them on those pages, not here... check them out for me, see if you get them. Maybe it's someone's sig, but I deleted all my cookies, files and checked for extra files... Please tell me if you get pop ups! (For the quizilla thing just click one in every section)

No pop-ups from either, here...

...but I also use Mozilla as my browser most of the time, and Spybot Search and Destroy religiously. If it really bothers you, I'd download Spybot or AdAware or something.

I've tried but no pop-ups. But I use Mozilla as well, so it's almost impossible to see a pop-up window.

You should get rid of that Explorer crap. Or, at least, follow LamerPanda's advice and install some anti-spyware software, such as

this http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

and even this http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

You might also want to give Mozilla a try. I'd suggest you to check its little sister, called Firebird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/

I checked with Asuka_Chan and they do have popups, besides I can block popups (but then PSOWorld doesn't give me PM warnings). Mozilla? Is that from Tucows.com?

You can simply scroll the forum index a little bit more and check by yourself if you have one or more private messages waiting. :3 And Mozilla - *shameless plug* - allows you to enable pop-ups on selected sites. In this way, for example, you can disable pop-ups from any site but PSOW. :3

Uhm... I guess you can find a copy on Tucows too... but just check the link above. :3

It's on open source application. So, basically, if you decide that, starting tomorrow, you want a feature that turns all the Web pages into pink color, you can post a request on one of the several Mozilla developing resources, or write the code by yourself if you're capable.

It's a user friendly application, basically because it was created by a bunch of coders that followed the feedback given by thousands of users during a three years of development.

So, it boasts a lot of user-friendly options. For example you can turn off pop-ups on selected Web sites, you can turn off advertisements, you can manage stored cookies, images, passwords and so on.

If you like eye-candy, you can download many "skins" (actually not proper "skins", but similar), or sidebar panels, which may contain little applications, or news from your favourite Web sites and so on.

There're many features in Mozilla that's difficult to list them all. Give it a try! :3
