Mag cell usage

I got my first Jack o lantern last night, wayhey.
But I'm unsure of what to do with the cell when I open it. I have a Diwari mag that I was given, do I need to start a new one from scratch to use the cell on ? or can it they be used with any mag ?

Thanks for the reply Proto. I haven't opened my Jack yet, I was just wondering in general if I had to raise one from scratch before applying it. My current mag is a level 200, but I have heard that cells won't work on this type of mag

From what I know, if that mag were an Episode 2 rare mag, then you can't use cells on it. But if you for instance happened to receive a Heart of Kapu Kapu or Heart of Chu Chu (2 mag cells I recently found) then any level 200 (non EP2 rare mag; Rati, Sato etc) should work fine provided you meet the requirements found on the link above.

Thanks Proto, I have a Savitri and a Diwari that I was given. Are these an EPII rare mag or can I apply ? Also, what are the implications of applying the cells ? Are they just cosmetic changes or do they effect the whole mag in general ? Those are Episode 1&2 rare mags. You can't use Mag Cells on any mag that when dropped is in a red box (there are a few exceptions, Mag Cell Mag System to another Mag Cell Mag System {Sega Saturn + Kit of Mark III}). You will need to make a new mag to the requirements from the link above.
