In an ideal situation, the BBA is better for one reason: fast, stable connection. But that's an ideal situation, where you've already got Broadband internet access.

If you DON'T have broadband (or a LAN with a dial-up service shared to it), then the modem is better, as the BBA will never allow you to connect, otherwise.

So it really depends on your connection issues. Overall though, if you've got Broadband, then broadband will give you the best experience.

However, neither will work with AOL...

AOL does not work with PSO at all.

Go BB!
If you have a BB connection, BB is the way to go!

Did you read anything that was said...up there?

Broadband is just what it sounds like, faster speed and more stable connection, and usually doesn't invole a phone.

Dial up= 1337 in 1997. This is 2003, you figure it out.

The Modem is used for Dial-up connections. So in answer to you question, the modem is the device that allows your GC to connect to the servers via your dial up service. The BBA (Broadband Adapter) is for those who have a broadband connection (ie. various types of DSL, Cable, T1 etc.) The BBA is not a modem it simply allows you to connect using a broadband service connection (think of it like a NIC). Hope that answers your question. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
