is there anya dvantage to making a character extremely small, or skinny or fat? do they have different hit boxes and stuff?

There is no advantage really, as all characters have the same "hit area/hit box" were they can be hit. The only way that size does make a difference is with the camera. The taller your character, the less likely you will lose them due to poor camera angles. Width and height also help if you are inside someone and need to know which one you are (RagMasterRappy had a nice pic of a HUcaseal and a FOmarl combined, same height, looked like a "FOcaseal").

If you're taller you can hit taller things such as DF1's heads when they are raised (not barfing darvants). Maybe it isn't this way anymore but it was on DC. I havn't tested it on GC. All my characters tend to be shorter (females).

Weapons also change proportion to match the size of your character. I don't know if this affects their range though.

No it doesn't http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

On the other hand, making a very short char will allow you to avoid Vol Opt's second form's missiles if you stay close to him, he he.

And if you're short, you can sneak around in B-Mode easier!!!

I've heard that shorter characters are harder to hit with those crushing things in Caves... and I'll have to check that 'weapon propotion' thing with my miniture racast and tall ramar...

So, i guess this means that size does count.

My Hune, Saria, quite petite. So far, the only thing I noticed is what Kefka said. Though, it works more than just avoiding his missles. It also works for avoiding those spikes that emerge from the floor & you can repeatly attack Volt Opt ver 2 while really close to/under him.

It's easiest to see with sword class weapons. Try a very short HUnewearl and a very tall HUmar (or HUcast but his default proportion is at the height max).

Does that apply to ALL weapons, or just some of them?

I just confused a rappy and a hildebear and the rappy kept pecking the hilde for 7 damage while the hilde kept swinging OVER TOP of the rappy doing NO damage. Go rappy! lol

All, I think

Note that all weapons have a default size and this is the size used if the character using the weapon is at his or her default proportion. The saber for a HUcast at his default proportion is the same size for the saber of a FOnewearl at her default proportion. But the saber for a very short HUcast is smaller than that of a very large hucast.

I think.

Same thing work for unique items like the double saber and photon launcher..?
