Does anyone have any info on this mag?

The PSOW guide says it's a mag cell from a holiday quest, but the holiday quest-guide doesn't have anything on it.

Anyone know how to get it?

Old news. The MAG technically doesn't exist. It's basically supposed to be the baby MAG that Elenor (in japanese katakana her name erenoa-, which was later mistranslated as elnoa) asks the player to watch over during the quest Soul of Steel. The picture itself was from back on the DC ver.2. There were a lot of rumors flying around about people owning this MAG, but it never existed as a player-acquirable item.

Do a forum search and you're bound to find a couple dozen similar topics already in existence.

you can see it doing the side quest of bernie and sue i think, i've done it, the mag it's pretty good, if only you could get it, and in many colors like black with blue sky XD

Yes. You have to go through the Sue/Bernie sub-plot by telling Sue your name in the quest Dr. Osto's Research. Then just play through Soul of Steel making sure that the MAG cell you're carrying for Elenor evolves completely before you move on to the Ruins. Sue should appear when you enter the last room and talk with Montague and Elenor, after which the final evolution will take place. Then just complete all the parameters in the Ruins and watch the show.

Yes, it could be made from a cheat device on DC ver2.

The MAG name in English reads "ELENOR", you cannot change its colour, only androids can use it (kinda funny on a HUcast). It was supposedly made from the MAG cell Parasitic Gene "Flou" (not "Flow") on DC ver2, in one of the latest released quests (cannot remember its name).

I think it exists on NGC/Xbox (Barubary ?), but has not been released yet.

Vulpes summed up pretty much everything I was thinking of, but I'll add what little I can.

They're Action Replay only as far as I know. Or you can mod your Xbox so that they're substituted for an enemy's drop, since AFAIK the game treats it as an equipped mag in the cutscene.

It looks like twin Asparas that match Elenor's color scheme, again, as far as I know (I don't use hacked items, and I've never seen anyone use one) you can't find any with different colors.

Hey, remember my Photon Blast theory? From the TJS thread? Somebody ought to try equipping the SJS, and trying my theories with the Elenor Mag. (Donating 300 PB Energy into the SJS owner's PB, executing a succesful 4 person PB combo, 1000 PBs). Wouldn't it be funny if one of them worked?

back in the DC days my friend was permanently banned. He claims to have made an Elnoa mag with a cheat device and brought it online and thats what got him banned. Don't know if he was lying or not though...

There was no "Special Gene Flou" on DC v.2. Elnoa (Elenor) Mag was only in the game so that you could see Elenor wearing it in Soul of Steel. The players were never meant to obtain it.

It was banned online yes. But there are many rumors that there was eventually going to be a quest to obtain it. Btw, that picture is the crappiest photoshopped thing I've ever seen.
Btw, you can change the color with the Exploder on the DC version. I had mine red.

And NO there's no way to change its color, an exploder could change a MAG's colour, but it did not wor on CHAO, PIAN, ROBOCHAO, Pitri, ELENOR, etc.

That picture is either a Photoshop job, or someone who's played Ep I & II modified the game and created the item - just like they do for Al Rappy slots on the Xbox.

There were no "Special Genes" in v.1 or v.2. People have done complete item dumps of all versions of the game - and no where have I, or apperantly anyone else but you two, seen it listed as an item in the game.

Note: Item dumps were the only way we knew about, and were able to get, the Elenor mag - long before it was released on Soul of Steel. The only way the item could be in the game, and escape being seen on the item dump, is if it were a Quest Item... and those do not appear in your inventory as seen in the picture above.

Note 2: I do believe it is possible to have Elenor mags of different colors. I've never seen it personally, but all you have to do is find where in the hex the mag's "Base" color is set to pink.. and change that to a different digit. Sort of the same thing as being able to change a weapon's color... like making Srank weapons whatever color you want - or creating "Black" Weapons.

That picture isn't a photoshop job, I brought that item into existance through hacking (without modifying the game's code, I don't know where that data is located). I'll hack up an Elona mag and see if the color can be changed.

Was so in v.2, I don't know where you get info that it wasn't. They just never made any use for it.

Do you think you could take a pic of that MAG in an area with a sort of one-color, generic backround, or maybe get the game to glitch in forest or something where the wall seems to disappear and there's that light green color? The reason I ask is because I'd like to edit it a little and stick it in my sig.

That isn't a Photoshop. I've seen that image at Mamak-Int (when they were actually good) at the release of DC Version 2 in Japan. It's not a Photoshop.

They could put an option to get the MAG but only RAcaseals were able to create it doing the side quest and the MAG would take the colors of the RAcaseal's armor, also with the same stats of a new MAG...

Of course after getting it with a RAcaseal then any other character would be able to use it ^_^

The same way I got the Special Gene and Elenor mag, hacking. I needed the P. Wand tekker picture for something and I held onto it to play around with and the Marica was created in the process of making the Elenor mag.

I have to admit.. going back and double checking the dump lists for v.2, it was in there. Sorry.. I've never noticed it there before for some reason - and I looked at it alot trying to get the hex codes for certain items to create.

I still think the Elenor mag can change color though. You can't start with a base mag and have it change color. You have to actually find the area of hex that determines the Elenor mag's color and modify that to a different color setting. Black weapons, like the Black Double Saber, are just normal DoubleSabers with their color variable set to a certain number. In PSO, there should be a range of colors which will be given to an item depending on what the hex value is. There's a range of, I'm not sure how many, but the top two values - I believe - do not have a color corropondance. Setting your weapon's value to one of these will cause it to appear black.

This doesn't work on all mags or weapons. If the mag or weapon has a preset texture with no variable.. you can't modify it's color. The TJSword, for example, is a special item with no other's like it. It has it's own unique texture. Nei's Claw though, is similar to Photon Claw and Silence Claw.. so it's all the same basic weapon model with a variable which determines it's color. The Nei's Claw, I know, you could change into a Black Claw. (Or Purple, or Yellow, or whatever.)
