okay I just got the red ring from a trade and I was wondering if I could get banned. how taking it out of ur bank and putting it in or what. I'm confused.

If you want to be safe, just don't take it online.

I just got one a few hours ago. The safeiest way to have it would be to get it to offlinefast and then only use it offline. That is what I do and so far it has worked.

You can't get banned for using a Red Ring. or else 75% of all the other players would get banned too.

Now I don't think that you could be banned. If so then they would lose money from one person.

actually, a nice duper gave me one the other day... i didn't get banned, and neither did he... and then i destroyed that piece...

were talking about red rings here. Yeah they're hacked. Yes I said the evil word! HACKED! never mind. no you won't get banned for using one. you may get hassled or insulted by stuck up legits (no offense to normal legits like me) but it would be stupid to ban all those with red rings. Imagine Sonic Team when they do that:
"OK we just lost 50% of all players but hey, there are no hacked items now!" (cheering)
it would be pretty stupid.

You can't tell anymore about what items is dupped or not and as for hacking you can't tell either unless it has got insane %'s or it an item you know you can't get until Sonic Team Releases it so get over it and just play the game and have fun will instead of wining about something that will never change since it has been that way since V.1.0.

Olga, who do you think you are for saying things I didnt. I never said I'm ST nor that dupers harm me. If people like to dupe and use items ST didnt release yet, then thats their right. But this kind of cheating (everything you do against the purpose a game was programmed for )is and will always be pathetic in my eyes. Whats the fun of beating the game with 'uber weapons' early on or with items that werent released yet. Theres no challenge in it anymore and thus retrieves all the fun of it. I like to compare it with your favourite food without any taste on it. You chew on it, chew on it but dont get any pleasure out of it.
And if you are looking for jerks, then I would advice you to take a mirror instead of flaming people who like to play the game the way it was programmed for, instead of supporting the dupe spreading.
