Just on Dreamcast version (and PC I believe, since they are the same). It was impossible to find a rare in a quest. That was a major issue for all the players who spent most of their time power levelling in quests such as HS.

In an OFFLINE quest you can get some..Frying Pan, Soul Eater. and of course the regular rares will still appear with thier regular high to annoying drop rates.

last night I`d try to get a rare lily(i think is name is mila lily) in the Addicting Food quest in the ultimate and I stuck for hour`s in that room witch have 6 lily and for nothing .... I guess there is no hope to get a rare monster in the geust so don`t tierd you`r self to get it

Wrong. You can use quests to find rare enemies. Trust me, I'd know...
