Hello there !
I wanted to know how you all used your 150/250 materials.

As for me...
Terra : 105 Power, 100 Mind, 45 Luck
Kefka : 105 Power, 45 Luck
Hedoba : 105 Mind, 45 Luck
Aelia : 100 Power, 105 Mind, 45 Luck

This is for me the most logical and only acceptable usage of materials for those classes. And I expect you to disagree, of course http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

DO NOT TELL ME THIS DOES NOT BELONG TO GENERAL http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif

For my Ramarl, I did.

31 Power Mats
73 Def Mats
50 Mind Mats
51 Evade Mats
45 Luck Mats

With the addition of my mag with the following stats:

5 Def
45 Pow
50 Dex
100 Mind

I will be able, upon reaching Lvl 200, to have every stat maxed except for power with nothing but my mag equipped. I know that this distribution is not as close to what would be the standard distribution for a ranger, but it works for me.

My first character used whatever materials he found, my other characters ive done it selectivly. My FOmar i give mind and hp materials and luck, HUcast ive only given him power materials at the moment and my RAmar, im not sure, i was thinking perhaps defense and mind materials?

You gave luck mats to a FOnewearl? Why? That's too bizarre!

I put all my FOnewearl mats into mind and evade. Although I'm thinking of trying mind and defense... I can never decide if I like being knocked down or not.

By the time my FOmarl is done and she's close to it (she's the only character I've been keeping track of on materials and made any progress) I will have used
37 power
38 defense
39 mind
12 evade
15 luck
and the remaining 109 I'll use on HP

This way with my mag and 3 God/Abilities she will be maxed on all stats at level 200. I realize this isn't the best equipment because I have to rely heavily on my mag and units but ,hey, I'll get an uber HP boost which will be nice for me on a force because I'm used to Hunters' high HP.

Don't have the numbers in front of me...

For my FOmar I have a mag that has 40Pow/30Def/50Dex/80Mind

With 250 mats to play with I gave him a proper share of each type to bring him within 40pts for all of his stats except of course ATA (the 50Dex took care of capping that stat at 200). After I did that I had left over mats so I gave him 3 more of each to bring him within 34pts of capping for each stat.

I know that I fed him:
78Mind
28Luck

Equipped with 2 God/Abilities, he'll reach max stats around 195-198

At 136 and done eating mats, he's not dominating in any areas but in the end you can't do any better than MAX STATS.

As far as ripping on others' mat usages, I say anyone who uses a human character and doesn't shoot for max stats screwed up. The FOmarl is even easier to max.

Quo: HP and TP mats don't count toward the same pool as Stat mats. In fact you can use 250 Stat Mats, 250 HP mats, and we discovered that TP mats and HP mats don't share the same pool either so... you can eat 250 in addition.

at least you can get ahold of luck mats. i'm on xbox and i have only found 4 luck mats. i have over 65 different mats in my bank that i am holding off until i find some luck or i am waiting to trade them. it's just hard to find someone who hasn't used them.

I never quite understood why people want to max out their stats. By the time it happens, you're already at lvl 200 (or close to it) and won't be playing your character much anymore. The bulk of the game takes place in Ultimate mode, between the lvls of 80 and 199.. so I've always thought it best to eat materials according to how you want to play your character as you're raising them.

You can use a glitch to max out your stats, I guess.. but that (at least for me) kills any desire to level up - because you will never get better or more powerful than you already are.. so what's the point? Where's the feeling of progress and completion?

Well my play style for my FOmar is my best attempt to use him to the best of his abilities.

As such all of his stats are important. If I totally concentrated on MST everything else would be in the crapper.

Not just that but it's a nice feeling knowing that he doesn't ever need to create another MAG for himself. Especially since his mag is a legit Devil Wings.

So I can totally focus on that progression that you speak so highly of.

Ok, I dont get this, howd you guys get so many mats at one time? and can you only use a certain amount of mats or something? Is the affect of a mat worse at lower levels?

I haven't yet. Most of my characters haven't used a single mat, actually... ^^;

HUmar 1(Ian-Kun X):

Used(Target)
HP: 46(125)
Power: 62(69)
Def: 31(50)
Mind: 9(49)
Evade: 28(37)
Luck: 14(45)

HUmar 2(Fluffy): None.
FOnewearl 1(Persephone): None.
FOnewearl 2(ELLY): None.
RAmarl(ERI): None.
FOmarl(CALLIOPEIA): None.
FOmar 1(Zero):

HP: 21(125)
Power: 14(50)
Def: 6(50)
Mind: 20(55)
Evade: 1(50)
Luck: 4(45)

FOmar 2(Helios): Hasn't used any, can't use any. *cough* >_>; I might recreate him one of these days, I don't like the way I have his proportions.

You do know that the HP mat counter is seperate from the material counter for the rest of your mats. You can add 109 of any of the other mats pow/def/mind/evade/luck, and still use 125 HP mats.

i.e. including HP, you can really use a total of 375 mats

I guess that upon reaching Lvl 200, there may be some additional satisfaction gained for having also been able to max out as many of your character's stats as possible, having those maxed stats listed in gold is pretty cool (I have one there already, luck). Also, at least in the case of my Ramarl, while it may not be one of the more accepted methods for materials usage, leaving my character somewhat underpowered (I can remedy this with a few GOD/POWERs), in the long run I think my character is far more balanced than most, and with the relatively high MST/TP for a non FO, makes for a really good support character, especially when there is not a FO around.

All I know off the top of my head is that my HUnewearl and FOnewearl both have used 7 luck mats each.

Maybe I need to look at PSO char. manager sometime and update my stats!

No, not screwin' around, just tryin' to help! As a suggestion, unless you're a support force, maxing out luck might be a good idea (if you can find the mats, I had a hell of a time finding 45 luck mats to max mine out with)!

...okay, kiddies, here's the breakdown:

Stat materials (Power, Defense, Luck, Evasion, Mind):
HUMAN CLASSES ONLY: 250
ANDROIDS and NEWMAN: 150

HP Materials:
All races: 125

TP Materials:
Unknown, possibly 125 as well

Just some clarification.

For the stat Materials you can have a total of 250, not 250 of each.
Just in case anyone was confused.

Well, if you could use expressions I know >_< I'm French ! what does "be out of the loop" mean ? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I can guess if there is no irony in it.

Anyway, there aren't any TP materials to be found except in C-mode on DC v1+2 and NGC (haven't played PC or Xbox).
On DC you could 'make' some via Xploder, you could use them, but when you saved, you TP gauge went back to where it was before you used them.

TP materials were released as a part of Today's Rate. They're difficult to obtain, but they -are- permenant, at least in the Gamecube version.

OK, is TP material what you get instead of being able to turn Ultimate enemy parts into weapons ?

I won't be able to go online until December, so I'll check then http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

...no. Converting enemy parts can be done entirely offline. You just have to beat all of the quests on one difficulty, then load The Sealed Door and talk to Montague. A lot of this is covered in the guides, I'd recommend reading them.

Ryoko, HUnewearl:
POW:96
DFP:13
MIND:1 (heh.. it was a slip of the thumb when holding one in my items)
EVADE:0
LUCK: 40

Now these mats are pretty wacky, and some of them cause my stats to overshoot the mark. But, eh, with the system I planned I had six mats left over. After the goof with the mind mat I figured having a core luck stat of 90 would be handy in case I had to rough it woutout a god/abil.

lol, is it my English or what ?

I was asking if INSTEAD of being able to turn Ultimate enemy parts into weapons.
I mean, the side quest is most certainly still there, so what do you get from it since you can turn any enemy part into a weapon offline ?

Am I making myself clear this time ? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Mostly, but I never played DC PSO. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif (The system didn't really appeal to me... control scheme was really, really out there. It took me forever to figure out the controllers at Fry's)

Being "out of the loop is an idiom denoting that one has not been within social circles and has thus not been informed of recent transpirings.
