New moderators.

For those of you have been with us long enough to remember, originally our current mod was nominated and voted in by all of you http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif. It is sad Ambrai will be leaving. A replacement must be found. Below I would like everyone to nominated who they feel would make a good mod, and if possible a brief description why. Everyone is eligable[with the exception of a few people], make the right choice.

I say give it to whoever is willing to do the job and uphold certain guidelines WITHOUT bias. Its not about popularity or who is "cool" its about who has the time to dedicate themselves to editing, moving, deleting threads...while still maintaining a calm and civil environment.

I think as many people who I like, and would be fun as mods...are too into the game itself, and are too emotional when it comes to certain issues. You can be against something...but sometimes you can be so against somthing that is consumed you and clouds your better judgement.

Ice Blink is lighthearted and humorous. I think he would be able to maintain order while still keeping it on a more personaly level.

SaitoH is a kewl customer who sees thing from both angles. And has always posted with dignity and maturity.

Lina is a cute yellow Droid, nuff said.

Mina is a kewl customer as well. Laid back Gal who likes to have fun and doesnt give in to cheep shots when flamed.

There are many qualified people im sure...I would say anyone interested to put some qualifications down and why they want to Mod...that would be the best means.

sheograth - a little angry sometimes but a good head on his shoulders, represents the image of the board nicely

Seutekh - Too bad he's gone. He seems quite intelligent aside from the drunken ramblings. Good character, who wouldn't stoop below his values, as far as I can tell.

Of course, I think you should make the choice on your own. It would be nice to know that a moderator can make their own decisions. Taking that into account, it's your board, gideon, and you should be able to pick a moderator on your own - someone that will run things the way you want them. If you think this should be a truly democratic system, &c., then it's possible that a mod would be superfluous. What if everyone votes for a pro-cheater? Is that what you want? What's the 'right' choice, anyway? The 'right' choice in a democracy is the majority, isn't it?

Not to be like the rest of you, but the two I also considered, are Danger_Girl and Spy. I can't choose which one though, Danger_Girl is extremly nice and fun to hang around with. Spy makes ( some ) very intelligent posts, which I can relate to. It's a tough choice.

Wow would i like to mod any of these forums. I used to be a mod on another site (dbz-nation.com) but the site shut down because the webmaster had some"issues" with the site http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif I regularly go here and it would kick ass if i could do more around here. Wooooow! I'm flatered I'm getting so many votes. I can't believe it. But lets be honest, I'm not right for the job. First of all I'm completely out of my mind. If I had the power to edit what people say....Muwahahahahaha! Oh wouldn't that be fun! Secondly I've got kind of a let it ride attitude. I'm not into censoring anything...well maybe if I was a mod I would eliminate a post that was REALLY obscene, but that's not really an issure here. I can't think of any post I've read here that I would consider real nasty. As far as moving post into the right catigory...blah! That's just busy body work. For example the "general" forum says "for game play discussion only" I don't even know what that means for sure. Is questioning weither Androids have souls "game play discussion?" What about Hunewearl civil rights? Or maybe thats Off Topic? I'll be honest, I quit going their when I noticed 90% of the posts were on the lines of "what goes best with cheese." Another issue I would have would be the rants forum. What is the rants forum? Actually I can answer this one. It's a place to dump posts where no one will see them. Do we need that? If someone wants to whine, let them whine on the general forum. If you don't want to read it, then don't. I'm not into hiding posts, or censoring what is going on in the game, like PK glitches for example. If you want to talk about it, lets talk about it.

So if your not into controversy, you probabily shouldn't vote for me. I'm outspoken. That will never change. I have alot of opinions and I'm not afraid to scream about them. I guess if I was elected as mod I wouldn't say no, just be aware what your getting yourselves into.

As for my vote. Spy is my guy. I also nominate my cat. Ask yourself...would you mess with my cat? I didn't think so.

As for this moderator business, like many people have been saying, a moderator has to be dedicated to the work; not to mention, have the time to dedicate to it. Plenty of people are qualified to be a moderator, but do they have the time and dedication for it? That question definitely needs to be asked many times, and answered before a decision is made.

I could probably be a moderator, but right now I hardly have the time for it. Like Danger Girl mentioned, there seems to be alot to consider for which posts go where, etc. I could handle that for a while. Sooner or later, I'll just be like "bleh... tired of all this." Not for me, not now.
