Is this normal?

I was playin on episode 2 for the first time and I went to two areas: Mountain and Jungle. Then i quit the game thinking i could play beach the next day. I played beach today and i thought i could get inside the door. I thought for a while and noticed i had to do all 3 in the same day. When i went back to jungle i found it looked different. Some of the stuff was switched around. Same with mountain. Is this normal or does it randomize every time?

PSO uses ramdomly generated maps so that no two games you play offline and online are never the same.
