sliced bread vs unsliced bread- the final showdown!

ok well i was wondering, why do people use the phrase " the best thing since sliced bread"? i mean, unsliced bread is so much nicer. and it has a better texture. and you can choose your size depending on what you are eating- no restrictions because the folks brought the wrong thickness loaf ^_^

NB: i prefer to cut my bread thick. especially for toast. i could live on toast

2) nop, not for a second. i had eaten sum toast made of unsliced bread(although the term "unsliced" is kind of odd, as most people slice it to eat it anyway) and it was bloody nice. so i thought wtf do people use the time-honoured phrase better than..

well neko has been on this site since June 14th 2001, or 872 days (and yes that took me 10 mins to work out), i cant speak for neko on how long shes been on 'take our word for it'.

i dont get why you quoted that line of mine? i was resenting the face darth had called me an idiot, not anything to do with bread.
