I've seen a lot of screenshots by people like RagMasterRappy of their PSO game from the GC. If anyone could help me get screenshots onto the PC from my GC, it would be very nice of you to do so ^_^

And if this doesn't belong here, I think that it might belong in Ep 1 & 2 general.

Use either PSO Proxy available in the downloads section or use a capture card.

I have PSOProxy, but there were no instructions that came with the download file :

hit the PrintScrn key lol just like you would normally take a screen capture. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I should follow that up by saying that you then need to run a graphics program to paste the screen capture into. I use Photoshop CS (8), but almost any graphics program will work (Corel, Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, Paint Shop Pro etc.) and if you don't have any of those you can even use MS Paint.

Are you using Win 98? Later versions of Windows allow you to save as jpegs also. As for free, there are many freeware programs you can get.

Bitmap to Jpeg Converters (there are tons) I just listed the first few that I found.

2Jpeg 5.0 http://www.softforall.com/Multimedia/ImageEditing/2Jpeg07050019.htm

Ahaview free http://www.bykeyword.com/pages/detail1/download-1290.html

For a free Graphics program, I have heard that Satoripaint works very well. Give it a try.

Also try Pixia

Hmm...well I'm new to PSO World but I've been wondering about this for a while. For anyone who takes screen captures from the game to their PC using a capture card (not using PSO Proxy, as I have dial-up), what exactly IS a capture card? I have been looking at buying a new graphics card for my computer, one that has S-video input (my currant one does not). As I understand it, this would allow me to just run the image from the game right into my PC. Is that all you mean when you say to use a "capture card", or is it a specific seperate device?

Sorry if the wording of this post is confusing...if it isn't obvious, I don't know a lot about video cards and such. =p Any help is appreciated!

If you purchase a video card with an S-video input (hopefully a Radeon as they rock!!) then you will be good to go (provided either your TV or VCR also supports S-video. You could also just run the GC striaght through your PC without a TV.) It should have software that comes with it that will let you do screen captures. In fact the ATI cards will let you use the PrintScrn key and capture video images as well.

Thanks, that pretty much helps me make my decision.... however, I have one more question:

Do I have to have a TV/VCR that supports S-video, or can I just use the S-video cable for the GameCube and run that straight from the GC to the video card on the back of the computer..?

I was hoping to buy the ATI card and the GC S-video cable tonight, but I want to make sure they'll actually work together! =)

Thanks!
