Many of these can be easily remedied.

Screamers and trashtalkers can be muted (aka voiceban). And if you just HAVE to have the headset volume at max when someone DOES scream, then turn the damn thing DOWN.

Dupers... stay away from Apatite (if you're on PSOX-US), if you can't stand the mere notion of dupes.

Assholes are everywhere, but play in a few open games to see if there's anyone you can get along with; after that, trade guild cards and get together for a few games. Not recommended if you like playing with different people every once in a while.

Legits... I dunno who the hell came up with this whole caste system based on what you find and what you use, but they're everywhere too. If you don't like them, then you don't like them.

Crude symbol chat... that's kinda unavoidable if I remember right. Best thing to do is change lobbies.

But if I HAVE to choose, it'd be assholes. Mainly because the rest are somewhat easily avoidable, IMO. Just that assholes permeate the entire server clusters.
