Reminds of a weapon from an old movie called Krull.

Hmmm, very nice curves, and the stone look makes it look ancient and significant.

Could be another symol for Ying and Yang.

Two sides. Exactly the same, both pretruding from the middle. Both sides going opposite directions, yet at the angle of the curve, it could end up back in the middle again.
