Ok, so how do you get your own s-rank weapon and name it? All sounds very cool and i WANT ONE! (somewhen anyway) http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

You must complete all of challenge mode with an S-ranking (beating the entire thing under a specific time). When you do that, you may select any S-rank weapon, name it (up to so many characters), and then you receive it.

as long as you really push yourself into it and not just want to let pro's drag you through the whole thing so you can score an srank...

read the guides.
print the maps and read them beforehand!
dont do any switch if you dont know what it triggers.
dont gang up - search this forum for 'damage cancel'.
dont hog items others could use more efficient.
dont go for boxes unless youre the ranger / force.
dont solo.
dont waste.
drop stuff for others at the next door.
follow advices and claim beforehand that youre inexperienced but willing.
say that you need only "clear game" - name your games accordingly.
be polite and openminded.

did i forget anything?

good luck.

Oh yeah!
Find a group of seasoned (not spicy) Cmode players to help you out.
The best Cmode game is the one that everyone has fun and plays as a team.

Good Luck!!! ^-^)/

Having at least 2 experienced players really helps because of all the points where you've got to split up.

I've studied the maps but man, it goes out the window when you're in there, fighting for real.
It's best to keep doing stages and commit them to "motor memory" so to speak. Namely, you just know everything so well, you can just go into auto-pilot.

auto-pilot... that's how i go in there. plus it friggin helps that my memory is first class. I first did cmode offline (on psox) w/ 3 noobs to PSO, early august. Ever since then I've never even looked at the maps. I've known them by heart, well at least the main routes, and a few key detours. But as far as, knowing what to do, and where to go, I got it down. It also helps, that I cmode 95% of the time with the game (practice makes perfect); having 19 sranks is alot of practice (but not necessarily perfect).

I can autopilot the first 4 stages.
But since my head is full of fluff lately, I can't play the other stages without some map in front of me.

I'd just wish my offline pals would help me out by getting maps themselves. Hehe

And for the original question of the thread:
As mentioned before, you need to complete Cmode under 7 hours ONLINE only (offline yields joke weapons, check the guides on this site).
Any character can get any SRank, but some charas can't use some SRanks (Forces can't equip a SRank Sword, for example).
You name the item when you talk to the guild counter lady after clearing the last stage, and you can put up to 8 characters (all uppercase or numbers, no spaces at all) on the weapon.
When you get the SRank, it will appear in your inventory as a red named item.
You can only get one SRank per character (meaning, you could get up to 4 Srank Weapons per mem card), but you can pass the item around.

I do hope this helps.

Happy Hunting!!

I like to call them novelty or collector items. They use to be stronger on DC v.2.

Dont underestimate the broom and the flower cane.
The only joke about these is their look, not their stats.
Sure they havent the highest MST bonus a FO weapon can give, but they still beat most of the other FO weps.(regarding the MST bonus that is)

Maybe I wasn't clear on what I meant on 'joke'
I do not meant it in a derogatory way.
I meant it in a funny way.
Come on people lighten up!
Toy hammer, Harisen Battle Fan, the Crazy Tune!
They look silly and fun!

^-^;;;
I'd be laughing real hard if a team of players defeated Falz or Flow using these as their only weapons of choice!

<I'd probably better off never posting anything outside fanfiction then... sheesh>

You're right Rena.
I like to use joke weapons when a high lvl char of mine is helping out a low level char on a low difficulty setting.
No need to take the most powerfull weapons, but its more the time to joke around with funny looking weapons.
I dont have the toyhammer yet though http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif, so I will need to call a meeting again with my friends so we can stick around PSO for a whole day to get those last joke weps http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
