Red slime!

I saw my VERY first red slime tonight, and guess what it dropped... a Guard Wave! Even though the drop charts say its a 1/2 chance of me finding it (IGN), the coolest part was that I actually SAW one, and it dropped something that only about an hour before thought, "Man I wish I could have a Guard Wave, but I have to get one from a red slime, which I've never seen." Then I did the Addicting Food offline quest just because, and in the second floor, like the third room, was a red slime. Right next to an Ob Lily. So I roasted the Ob's proverbial ass with Foie and worked on the slime..

I still can't believe I saw one, it was the only slime in the room, too! And it dropped its rare!

Reminds me of my little red slime episode last weekend. My sis and I were playing Viridian Vhard caves hoping for a red slime god/power, and her HUcaseal ran out of traps in a room with a slime and we piped back so she could go to the hospital and get more traps. She said something like, "Watch, I bet it'll be a red slime when we get back!" And it was. Dropped us the second god/power we found that day, too.

ORAN, eh? Yeah... I'm 2/2 on ORAN Pouilly Slimes. They seem to like to drop Guard Waves.

All told, I've seen 11 Pouilly Slimes:

8 on REDRIA, Ult(#8 dropped a Lavis Cannon)
2 on ORAN, Ult(Both dropped Guard Waves)
1 on WHITILL, VHard(Coughed up my Cure/Freeze)

If you haven't seen any, there... Is a reason for that. They're almost as bad as Hildetorrs for showing up. Seriously. The WHITILL slime took three seperate 6-hour piping sessions to show itself up. Three days straight it took to pipe the 8 Pouillies for my Lavis. Red slimes are a pain. But just keep at it, and one will show.

ahhg ive spent mabey +500 hours on this game, and 3 red's, and only its rare once, other time it was a sol or something... i dunno

Dude, I'm a veteran of v.1, v.2, and GC, and the only rare enemies I've seen are two nars and two Al Rappies. Anyone who finds a Hildeblue, let alone a Hildetorr or Pouilly, is luckier than me.

Two random Al Rappies(The most recent the other day on Normal taking my RAmarl to Normal Forest to test stuff), two random Love Rappies, at least four random Pals, two random -Hildetorrs-, billions of random Nars, three random Mils... X_x;

Can some one please explain how to make sure the red slime drops an item? I split 2 slimes into 8, saw a red, and killed the others first. So, it didn't drop any item at all. Do you have to kill it first or something?

I've seen a Hildeblue before, it was on the GC when I played offline only (year or so ago), hard temple if I'm correct. I was like, what the hell is that!?!?!?! My HUnewearl pwned his ass.

I remember my first Red Slime in ultimate. I went one way and the rest of the group went another way. I was going and realized I went the wrong way and when I was about to turn around I saw a Red Slime and was "Oh SHIT!" I started hitting it and my team members were like "Hurry up, were at the boss". I'm like "Ok, brt" It took me a good 5 minutes to kill because it always went down. I was seriously sweating and hoping that no one else would come. I finally killed it and saw a red box and was "OMG, Red Slime". They said "Why didn't you tell us earlier!?!" I just laughed and took the rare. Turns out it was a Skyly game and got a Demolition Comet.

Nice find, I saw a Red Slime on Redria the other day in a TTF run, no Lavis. I've seen 4 in all, 2 of them in normal mode. The only drop from one I've ever got was a God/Body on Viridia.

On a similar note, I have yet for a Mil Lily to give me a rare. Damn thing... I wanted the Agito! (Whitill ID, so close to the 1975... I would love that so much for my HUmar...)

I saw one unexpectdley in v-hard caves way back in May. I killed it and it dropped.....a cure paralysis, a cure paralysis what a load of crap i dont even need it i'm a HuCast for gods sake arghhhhhhh.

Sorry about that lol, but it is the only one i have seen in this version and it appeared when i was going to pipe for it, wouldn't have even bothered trying to find one if i knew it dropped that.

I've never seen a Pouilly Slime yet (will soon hopefully, going to search for a Lavis for a friend).

I heard that in order for a Pouilly Slime to drop its rare, it muct be killed first. Also, rare enemies in at least the GC/XBox version ALWAYS drop something, sometimes not their rare, but always drop something (exception: Pouilly Slime killed after origional Slime).

Ive seen all the rare monsters and the only wep ive managed to get is the red handgun from the pal rappy, id love to get the red slime to drop a lavis cannon for my hucaseal but i can hope cant i lol

I have a lvl 87 Humar with 170 hours of play and so far i have seen:
3 Red Slimes
1 Love rappy
5 Nar lilly
1 Hilde Blue
1 Love Rappy
and 5 al rappies

So far all of them have droppped rares

I also had somethin very weird happen today i was doin v hard forest and cave runs with my friend offline to lvl him up and i was in a room with one slime. I used rabarta to freeze/split him and i used it 5 times for no apparent reason and i after the 5 rabarta a red slime mysteriously spawned.

I also occasionaly walk into a room with rappies in it and the rappies are like 3 times normal size

Apparently when piping for Red Slimes (and splitting them into 4), if you kill one or a slime kills one, then when you get a Red Slime it will not drop anything (similar to the ring of canadines, killing all but red one, returning to P2, coming back and the canadines are back, but won't drop anything), otherwise Red Slimes have a 100% change of dropping something, not necessarily a rare.
