GC-Item: 9* Canes vs. 9* Wands

In this guide (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=472) it says that the 9* canes only boost the power of the basic spell, and the wands boost the power of the whole series. I was wondering if the Canes really did only apply to tthe basic skills, or of the whole series, like the wands.

Im pretty sure the canes only apply to the basic ones. However they also give a bigger boost, Its like the merges, a color one will give you a smaller general boost where as a specific one will give you a bigger specific boost.

I saw that, I was wondering if that was right, this site doesn't have exactly 100% accuracy with their guides. Also, if by Foie, Barta, Zonde if they meant the whole series.

Neg, the canes boost only the basic techs, and the wands boost all techs of that series. (My little FOnewe swears by her Dagon, Agni, and SoaG. >.>;)
