Ziden looked up from the video moniter in front of him and sighed. When Pioneer 1 was lost, a lot of questions came about.
How could they have been so foolish as to of not have gotten more information about that cursed planet?
Ziden motioned to the worker in front of him.
"Play it again"
On the screen there was the Central Dome followed by a huge explosion.
"Stop it there" Ziden said as he stared at the now motionless screen.
On the screen, a slight transparent...thing could be seen.
How could they have not though of other life?
Aliens were mainly a cause for a joke, but this..?
What could it do?
Could it destroy Pioneer 2 in the same way?
The cause of the loss of Pioneer 1 wasn't annouced to the public yet.
What other options do we have?
Ziden sat back in his chair, thinking.
The worker turned around to look at Ziden.
"What are we to do, sir?"
"Nothing"
"What's going to happen to us? Oh god no..."
There was a pause while Ziden didn't answer.
"What the hell is going to happen to us!"
Ziden sighed, a hopeless sigh.
"It's out of our hands."
The worker stared at Ziden more intently.
"I don't think I heard you correctly, sir."
"Sir?"
"There is nothing we can do."
The worker groaned.
