getting XBOX virsion need help

I'm going to get the XBOX virsion of PSO and I do't know if you need the online thing to play it offline or do you have to play it online all the time or something.

an X box with a current X box live accoutn is required to play PSO in both offline and online modes, a hunters licence is only required for online play, XBL account for both.

why do you need the XBOX live thing for if your only going to play offline.

its all to do with how the game works in conjunction with X box live ( possible guild card file intergration with x box gamertag??)
it actualy says on the X box packaging X box live required, where in other live games, it just says X box live enabled.

yes, you need to have X box live, even if your only playing PSO offline.

that realy sucks. you have to pay for the XBOX Live and the game that would cost 110 dollars plus tax....... damn thats alot of money to play pso on the XBOX but thank god that christmas is coming.
