I have a Redria ID and my chances are 1/2000 for a Red Sword from a Melqueek, so far I have killed 700 Melqueeks and they have only dropped 1 photon drop, so should I stop looking for Red Sword and start looking for a lavis cannon??? Or just hang in there until I can get the Red Sword???

In my search for the Red Sword I have been doing Lost Ice Spinner quests.....I am currently level 133.

keep it up for the red sword...the lavis cannon will take a lot longer

The red sword is 100 times better than LAVIS CANNON but if you have a syncesta or 2 handy then lavis would be better

Just keep looking. I've found his equally rare Branch of Paku Paku three times without even trying, so it'll come eventually.

As for the Lavis Cannon... Both items are in the Caves, why are you acting like it's one or the other?

Hey Zarana, long time no see http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I did 150 Addicting Food runs, and found only a RED SWORD and no LAVIS CANNON http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

Get your self a DEMOLITION COMET http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm guessing that they want to know whether to do runs, or pipe Slimes. Also, the Demo Comet is an easy drop from a Mil Lilly.

yeah what I meant is if to go piping for lavis canon or keep doing runs for Red Sword, and I already got a Demo Comet....

Also if anyone is a Redria or any other ID and wants to do some runs together just send me a PM.....

Red Swords drop 1/2000 times!!!! crap... I just started to keep an eye out for one... there went that plan down the drain... I hate the Caves too... anyone know that probablitiy for a Red Saber from a Ultimate Tollaw for Redria... I want one of those too

(probably 1/cagillion with my god-awful luck)

Actually, Red Sword drops 1/2101 times for Redria in caves. As for your question about the red saber.... 1/900, which for me means 1/cagillion X 2 + infinity (beat that smarty-pants!). Use the following link for any more drop rate questions: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/393/393635p1.html

Someone on a section ID other than skyly is looking for a red sword!?!?! Heh.. I spose you could do it like that, but it might be easier to hook up with a skyly buddy and arrange a trade for a god/battle... which I hear Redria is kind of famous for. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

It is easier to find a RED SWORD in REDRIA than it is in SKYLY.

How so?
Skyly Red Sword = 1/900 Govulmers
Redria Red Sword = 1/2101 Melqueeks
Viridia Red Sword = 1/573 Nano Dragons

If you ask me, Viridia's the best ID for the Red Sword. I haven't gotten one with my Viridia yet, but I have gotten 4 of the equal in rarity Red Slicers from Skyly and Redria ones. Meanwhile, I have yet to see any sort of red box from a Skyly Govulmer and even their easy to get rares don't show up that much with the other IDs.

i say skyly is the best route to take

It is easier on Skyly than Redria. There are more GoVulmers than Melqueeks and they drop more often.

This is abslolutely wrong, GoVulmer are more unlikely to drop it.

If you have done 150 Redria Add Food runs and only got 1 Red Sword, and I did 50 Skyly Add Food runs and got 2, then the GoVulmer drops it more often. 1:25 is better than 1:150. GoVulmer also dropped 2 PD's for me compared to 0 from Melqueek.

http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1317

IGN's drop guide also sayd GoVulmer is more likely to drop it. Along with 90% of members on this site.

http://faqs.ign.com//articles/394/394902p1.html

Oh, I checked your sig, sorry but having high level characters doesn't quite change drop rates.

Uhm... I know more about the drop rates of things than practically everyone else here. I've seen and analyzes the game's data. So, I know what I'm talking about.

I am currently doing Ice Spinner runs online because they have more Melqueeks than offline, BUT I can't do them alone I am too weak so I would appreciate it if anyone (specially another Redria) would like to help me.....

On good news, on my Ice Spinner run today I got a sacred guard.....

Hahahahah! I found a Red Sword from Ult Caves from a Melqueek, Redria ID if I'm correct.

I was with my puny little force, and I was trailing behind and everyone was fighting the Melqueeks. I started getting the FOnewearl mojo going and BAM! there was a red box on the ground. I quickly ran and got it, tried to equip it and realized I couldn't.

Somebody: "Hey, was that a red box on the ground?"
Me: "Yeah. I picked it up."
Somebody: "What was it?"
Me: "I dunno. It must be crap, I can't equip it." (I drop it.)

All the players stare at me (honestly, they were all looking at me, and my character was facing them), in shock.

Somebody: "Is that a red sword?"
Me: "I dunno."

Somebody grabs it and gets it tekked.

Somebody: "ITS A RED SWORD!"
Me: "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?" (I'm dreaming about how I'll never see the damn weapon again.)
Somebody2: "Cool!"
Me: "Can I please have it, please? My hunter only has a Delsaber's buster, and the rest of you are HUnters with cool weapons, so it would be nice if I could give my character a weapon better then the Delsaber's buster."

MY HUnewearl now has a Red Sword that she proudly smashes across enemies' skulls.

Alright, lets reel this one in back to the original poster.

Redria can find it indeed. However, you will have a MUCH easier time looking for it under Skyly. With any luck, you have some Skyly friends that are willing to help you out.

I would strongly suggest looking under Endless Nightmare 2. There is a lot of GoVulmers there. Certainly, Lost Ice Spinner has around 120 Milqueeks, but with a drop rate of 1/2101 vs. 1/900 I would take the 1/900 every time.

Viridia is not a bad approach either, but there are not that many Nano Dragon as there are GoVulmers and Milqueeks for that matter.

Last but not least, remember this game was coded with evil in their mind. What you want will never drop, so change what you want often. Look for the Lavis Cannon, I am sure the game will try to screw you over and drop a Red Sword, just to make you mad http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Good Luck!
