IP / DHCP

My connection has worked fine for a while but now when I try to connect I usually get a screen saying it failed to recieve the IP adress from the DHCP. How do I fix this. I never had this problem before. No one else is using the internet when I am, so what could be the problem?
Also, I might get to the screen loading the DCP and it takes incredibly long. I am then disconnected.
I have GC with BBA.

what is your set up?
details of ISP, your location, how you connect to the internet on your p.c, and any other equipment used such as broadband modems/routers etc

Try this:
have you checked for any lose conections?
un plug everything, remove the modem/bba, blow on all the conections ( to remove any dust, dust gives a poor electrical conection), re-assemble try again.
