If you've noticed when you go to the Ship Select screen, you can no longer choose the EU or JP servers. Mabye they're just coming over because their servers are shut down.

Well DC is in Japan too. Japanese/Korean/Chinese players are on basically all online games. Think your thing is bad? Try playing Ultima Online... 10 dedicated Azn servers. Woop.

I think the whole idea of PSO was to bring players together worldwide and have them attempt to break the language barrier.

I seem to make alot of good and fair freinds over on the Japanese servers, alot of very honest and respectful people over there y'know. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Holy cow what a lame thing to say. I was under the impression PSO was a global game and was meant to be enjoyed by a variety of people internationally. If they want to come play on the US servers that is their choice. I don't even play on the US servers anymore.. I only use the JPN ones. They tend to be much nicer players.

I suggest more people play with the Japanese and the European players. They are almost always very respectful and very kind, now what else is there to look for on a game like this? If they shutdown all but the US servers, I would probably enjoy it more! Sure it would be crowded, but then they would be forced to play with us ugly americans! I have only posted once before...never have i been more disgusted in a person, its 2001 for christs sake! the servers are divide for one reason and on reason alone to eliminate jump points between players and the servers that is all. omega 12 or whatever the hell you name is you make me sick. Diversity is why they made this game it's the whole purpose of online gaming not so some punk kids can dupe or GS or some sad fuck can show off his PK skill, they made it to bring people together! i can play a game with some dude half way accross the world and play a game with someone who spells words like color or flavor with a "u". not so some pissant can rant about some imagined invasion like its the 1940's. you are a fuckhead omega 12 go to hell!

I hate to say it omega but i can't stand people saying "JAPS". I find it offensive. I would hope when I play on japanese servers that they aren't saying the same kind of things about me. I really enjoy playing PSO with people from other countries. It makes the game much more interesting and fun. This IS a global game community. Lets keep it that way.

Also I want to note..Japanese Char. (and people) come in the morning..which morning to us is night or afternoon to them..we raid their servers almost every day..asking for shi- annoying them with our: " DO YOU WANT TO TRADE >EVERYBODY" so get use to it..its not a small world..but it does get pretty cramped..and you'll meet others from different places..give it a break.., over and out..

... I think it's justified, really. --; Before the game was released in the US, graverobbing was practically unheard-of, and there was NO cheating. Period. It's just Not Done in Japan. ^^; Now people are afraid to use good weapons in unlocked games, and the dupe/hack epidemic is so widespread that Sega had to ban several items (i.e. the Egg Blaster) from online play until they find a way to fix the problem.

I'm not claiming that all Americans cheat or graverob, or that it's right to judge an individual by the actions of her country as a whole... but... I can't say that I blame them.

OK lemme get a few things straight. I had no intentions of hurting anyone's feelings, or offending anyone.I am sorry if the word "JAPS" offened anyone...from now on I'll use Japanese.... I am a, most of the time, nice and humorous guy, not some nationalist who hates all but Americans. Main reason I post this topic is beacuase I didn't want to miss the get-together thing...

I have tons of Japanese PSO friends...That I've met in the US servers. I know PSO is a worldwide game, and it is. Man, you guys sometimes are real arse holes...

Also if the JP servers are down, they would not be able to connect at all.

Wonder how they picked Puck9...Oh well...

I normally have no problems with the JPN players, they immediately get the hint I'm not Japanese and normally one of them knows enough english so I can tell them I can read some Japanese and then we all get along. They donate nice rares, I donate nice rares.. We get along fine.

I can read enough Japanese to know when they are debating what to do with the 'gaijin'.. It's those instances I will just grab my rifle and start playing the game. Sometimes it takes a little work to earn their trust, which is fine.

They have *every* right to be wary of american players. I've been in games where another US player joins and starts with asking for rares (in english) and not participating and being a punk and thieving from the JPN players and all that... It's quite disgraceful.

My favorite game on a JPN server had one JPN player, a German player, a Spanish player, and my leet english. Word Select kept us movin and groovin and we kicked Falz 8 ways to Sunday.. It was some great stuff.

As for general Japanese sentiment towards Americans, I think that like America or any country, there are some people with very one-sided opinions, but thick-headedness is not limited to race. Live with it. I just know when I was in Japan last fall I had an excellent time and met many very nice people. Even the drunk bum on the street in the market district had the courtesy to yell and scream at us in english. Very polite. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_cool.gif
