Moderators chance to comment on PSO cheating and state of af

I know this topic may be avoided or ignored by some of the moderators. Taking this in account and if you would like to comment, I think we as a whole here on the PSOworld forums would like your (MODERATORS) take on the state of affairs in PSO. Mainly touching on the topics of duping and hacking. I guess what im asking is HOW BAD do you guys think hacking and duping has gotten on pso GC and xbox?

PSOW is huge! Doesn't ST read it sometimes?

I don't post much but I've been here a LONG time. It's disappointing that some think PSOW admin should be spending more time about policing/headlining/b!tching about cheating. This place is a wonderful resource for news updates, a forum for PSO players to talk, and a tremendous amount of information. I applaud the admin for keeping this site up-to-date and well-maintained.

The only entity that should cause disappointment is Sonic Team for their heavily glitched programming and lack of online maintenance (is that ST as well?) So far, no one cheating on the GC PSO has adversely affecting me while I'm playing. Duped items, Multi-Equips, L200? That doesn't hurt my game. I don't have anyone who kills my character, freezes my game, or corrupts my memory card. OH WAIT... Sega corrupted my memory card with that wonderful double-save that ruined the game for me since it corrupted my character and I had to start over. Until someone other than Sega/ST kills my personal enjoyment of PSO, I'll be happily playing and worry more about having fun than if someone is using a duped item or recoboxed to their level.

I'm going to have to side with these guys.

First of all, PSOW may be a big site, but they are, in no way, affiliated with ST. In fact, it's already been established that ST doesn't care about what goes on here at PSOW or even their own messageboard. Also, I doubt that they would listen to a bunch of American teenagers (look what they did with the double save feature).

Second, it is not the job of the moderators to police PSO for cheaters. This board is the only place they have any jursidiction and I would be quite upset is some forum moderator started yelling at me because I used a duped item on PSO.

Okay, you missed my point entirely. The point was that the mods here at PSOW have no juristdiction on the servers of PSO. So they don't have to (nor should they) punish people for their actions on PSO. Also what's with all this "You hurt me, I'll hurt you" crap? Stop being so vindictive.

Those are the definiton of oppressive. None of them even come close to how you use the word.

It only belittles your accomplishments if you let it. Also how does cheating make them a jerk? You have never quite cleared that up. I know that in my PSO career I have met several cheaters and, quite frankly, most of them were nicer than most of the "legits" I have met. I base my friends on personality, not the way they play.

Also I could say this:

"I am legit. I am arrogant, rude, and condescending especially when I think you have a duped item. I consider anyone that has better rares than me a cheater and belittle to make myself feel better. If you don't play the way I do, you are considered a cheater and thus an asshole and you can't get mad about the way I think because I have the right to act this way."

It too is based on stereotypes and half-truths.

Well I'm not cheater; I don't even play the game anymore, but when I did play, I played to have fun. I didn't care about rares, dupes, or hacks; the only thing I wanted was EXP. I makes me angry when I see people talking down on to others just because the way they have fun is unorthodox.

I believe someone has been reading my stats from a previous post made about a month ago. Well anyways I just like to thank you and add opinion.

Yes I used dupes while I played a game, and I duped myself so I would have backs. And I also have a huge form of twension for game hackers. But unfortunately, I would like to tell you all nothing is with how someone plays personally. It's just the fact you have to put something out. Likw 200 code and item shop.
