Apparently the ban has come to the US servers.

I was trying one of the new Action Replay codes, just to see what it did... It let you buy rares from the armor shop. Before I went online, I got rid of all the items I had bought. Except one. I forgot to get rid of a Blue Ring, which I saw offline after I tried to log on, only to see some error after the Minhiro screen telling me "Your items are outside the limits of the game. You will not be allowed to log on until the illegal items are disposed of offline." So, I got rid of it. I tried to log on again and a screen came up instead of Minhiro, saying "You have been banned for a period of 24 hours. You will not be able to log on for 24 more hours." I didn't have anything else hacked or duped in my inventory.

I know I shouldn't be using the Action Replay codes in the first place, and I try to play legit. I was just looking at it to see what it did.

LOL another friend of mine (whose name I won't mention http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif ) got banned yesterday because he took the blue ring out of the bank online.

what lvl and what id did you buy blue ring. i got 1 and i havent ben banned yet. might be somthing wrong with the code for some ids and stuff

That is one thing I won't tell you. People don't need to buy the Blue ring, nor any of the other armors. Also, in the forum title, it says: This is not a place to post cheats or codes. So I can't help you.

If you haven't been banned, try going online.

So Is it only the Ar codes and the shop rares that can get you banned? Has anyone got banned by having a red ring a tj cause my firend will be getting online for the first time and I gave him those. Also 100% hit weps?

I have taken the Shop code online with no problems. Red ring, Hunters Shell, Ranger field etc are all fine to take online. The only item to get you banned at the moment is the Blue Ring. If you have it in inventory or take out of bank while online, you'll be banned for 24 hours.

K ty and I think that this is a load of BS that has come from lazy people that haven't don't any thing good in a long time. If they are going to ban people ban the AR lvl 200 people. That code is just like hacking and I might be non-legit but if these codes continue then GC will be the next dreamcast and what happened to it? It was shut down and its happening with the Xbox system as well this whole game is becoming a living he ll!

if the game's so bad then don't play. I don't use the 200 code yes i see lots of new 200's but the hardcore legit palyers bother me just as much so I tend to avoid people that way I still enjoy the game

Yes, becuase the game is set up like this: "If you don't put in the time, you don't deserve the reward."

When people use this 200 code they say "I'm better than everyone else, expecially gamers with no life, so I don't have to do the work. I can just cheat there, and it makes me a better player than them."

And yes, there are 2 of all the colored rings. The DC version and a new version. I have no idea why the DC rings are in the game. The DC ones are all banned as far as I know.

You know... I have to question why so many Legit players like to buzz around the Cheaters forum. Well, seems most of them get their kicks by harassing people whom they believe to be lesser. (OMG U R TEH EVIL UNLEGIT HAX0RZ DIEEEEE!!!!!111)

I honestly do hope that ST gets some good cheat and item filtering implemented. If I go on one day and get that message, I'll -GLADLY- go and dump... let's see... TJ sword, and... Dark Meteor. That's the only hack items I have. o..o; That I'm aware of anyway. That's not counting the many items I'm sure were traded dupes. Heck... I'm going to walk into a newb game and dump the Meteor in the next hour or so just because. It sucks! ^..^;

The reason for anyone to get ban for having Blue Ring is that it's not the real Blue Ring. The Blue Ring that the AR code brought out is an earlier version something that ST forgot to take out during their rush to get the game out. The same goes for other stuff that they forgot. If you check out Secure Feet you'll notice that it doesn't have stars on it. Anyhthing else I missed? Oh, a big glitch in the shop menu and other glitches that are not accounted for. I won't go into detail about glitches since it might get ADE all upset again.

ok.. MY QUESTION scmfxt is can you get banned for this older version of Secure feet. Im sure I have a copy.. my buddy was playin with shop code the other day and brought one online.. do you know if they have recently started banning for them??.. BTW Scmfxt love your work.. just dont take any part in Character kill or pk codes.. heh

Amazing, but I won't hold my breath. The code seems kind of inconsistant... since only the blue ring is triggering the ban. I hope they update it, but for now... it's better than nothing.

I think the red ring that was massed was the GC version of it. I remember looking up the red ring back in the v2 days, and it didn't have the same stats as this new one does.

Still... it's extremely odd that ST put both the DC item and the GC item in the same game.

Yeah, the Red Ring that got massed is the "GC" one. Actually, the Red Ring is unique because it doesn't have an old and new version on the game disk.

Silly people, HUmars don't use Double Cannons, HUcaseals do. HUmars use BKBs.

...No, seriously, I've seen a billion HUmars with BKBs, 0 with DCs, and about even on BKBs and DCs with HUcaseals. HUcasts all use BKBs. I... Haven't really played with many HUnnys. The one I remember had a BKB, but that was legit('lo, Muff')

...I still need to pipe a billion Hildetorrs on ORAN, so everyone I meet can accuse me/assume that I'm using a duped Double Cannon, when if I ever have one it will be legit. >P

I do mean the ***hole cheaters because anyone that cheats is inherently an inconsiderate ***hole. The very act of cheating is symbolic speach that basically tells all people trying to play by the rules "**** you".
Most cheaters defend their harmful practice by saying "Just let us play how we want." Well sorry, but if legit players did that then the legit players could not play how they want. The two sides cannot co-exist because there is no way for both sides to get everything they want.
A possible solution is for the legit players to isolate themself in a cheat-free environment. Deneb 9 was supposed to be this way and it almost worked for a while, but enough of the cheaters (which are all ***holes, but some more than others) decided it would be great fun to follow the legit players and try to ruin their experience. Let me congratulate them because it's working. *applauds*
Now not all cheaters are like this, but the meer fact that cheaters exist weighs heavily in my mind and causes me to feel like everything I do in PSO is worthless.
I am not sure how cheaters justify their actions in their mind. Just because ST does not police their servers does not make cheating OK. Your actions hurt other people and if you continue to do it you are being incosiderate and therefore an ***hole.

I played 3 years legit on DC PSOv1,and about 8or 9 months on GC.I got bored playing legit. So I got a few dupes on my chars,but I use a legit mag.Rares are to easy to find. I wish I keeped my Dreamcast.

I do blame ST more than I do cheaters, though, because they are paid to stop this junk and they don't. I hope they get off their butts and actually do something, but I'm not holding my breath.

Instant permaban for Red Ring possession would fix PSO quite nicely.
