It Cannot receive ISP from DHCP

I am trying to go online with my gamecube. I have the broadband adapter and am using a ethernet cable to connnect to the surfboard modem. I have charter net, and thats the only thing it wont do.

try switching the modem off (disconect form power suply) for a few seconds, plug your gamecube in, the power it back up.
