I realized that I have never posted anything that isn't finished. ... That, and a few people have been asking to see how I do piccies and stuff. Sooo.... I am going to start this thread and share the messiness and sloppiness of a piccilating process. =D

So here is the super rough. Basically what I do is grab some random colour and draw out the basic layout of the piccie. It's most helpful when you have more than one object in the piccie. Each person is on the different layer, so I can move them around for different effects. And I used different colours to draw them so I can tell each layer apart easily. You see the details are all missing and all the hands look like deformed jello. That is because I usually add in the details and get the little things right once I start to black (or whatever the main outline colour would be) ink the picture.

Sooo... here ends part I of it. Hopefully I can finish the next stage before this thread get bump to the second page. I am really lazy in that way. =D

I mostly use Pshop for lines even when I wanted it to be coloured in Painter. So... yes this is Pshop. I draw directly into puter. Rarely do I use a pencil sketch, well just because my computer here is a laptop and I don't really have many USB ports to spare, sooo scanning mean I have to unplug other stuff... yes I am just lazy. =D This particular piccie did started off with a pencil sketch on vaguely how things would be arranged tho.

Sooo... Almost get through the least fav part of piccilating. You can see I made a few changes here and there. The Hunew's hands, the FOmar's height... the only reason this isn't finished yet is because I just realized the HUcast looks horrible deformed... I am still working on how to make him not look too horrifying, that, and I am a bit tired. .... A thing that I realized was that this isn't as deformed as I liked it to be, so... drawing hands in a little ball doesn't work, fingers too short doesn't work. So... I ended up with these medium-ish length fingers.

Anyhoo.

Was this scanned in? It looks pretty nice if it was scanned in, and what type of medium did you use, it seems too smooth for gel pen, but...

No. Look at the rough. It is directly tableted into the computer. Hence the second picture still has the colour lines layer faintly in the back.

Sen is impressed the fluidity of the lines and the composition is remarkable. (translation: drawing is awesome) Makes me realize that my art is nothing but scribbles on a piece of scrap paper (or computer screen) in comparison to Navis delightfull creations...*sigh*

It is done! Took me long enough to get my act together to finish it up. The lack of a background is because I feel that the foreground is complicated enough, to add a background would really clutter up the picture.

Hm. I am pleased with how it turned out I guess. =} I will try to use Painter more often to play with it some more and see where it leads me.

Oh yes Garanz2 this is all done on computer, from scratch to finished. =D
