If you're on NGC, it's a glitch that happens when equipping/unequipping items that alter stats their class usually do not -- i.e. weapons altering DFP, EVP or MST... armours/shields altering ATP/ATA.

It happens a lot to me on Hedoba while equipping/unequipping SUMMIT MOON, for instance.

Those are "ghost" stats, they don't count.
Unequipping the item that alters the glitched stat solves the problem.

Hm, it doesn't lower EVP normally, does it? (I don't have one and I'm too lazy to look it up)

If it doesn't normally lower stats, it's just a glitch. I always get glitches with MAGs, where it says it would lower one of my stats if I equipped one.

No it didn't and i'm sure it didn't count cause even though i did total in 1400+ i took as much hits as when i had 1100+
