Yellowboze VS Purplenum

Hmm, my melee FOmar is getting to a moderately high level. Time to find something nitpicky about his Section ID. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Now, Yellowboze. Finds all kinda stuff. Some good stuff. Purplenum...kinda RAnger-y, but finds all Mechs, and the easiest Psycho Wand. And any of that RA-stuff I can trade to my friend, or trade them online.

So, should I go with Purplenum? Or stick with Yellowboze? I don't mind deleting a character, he'll be back to 41 before I know it.

Stick with the Yellowboze. It's the better of the 2 ID's. Then again, so is any id over purplenum. And the Psycho Wand is NOT easy to find in purplenum. I killed my lv 173 purplenum last week for a bluefull melee fomarl, got her to vhard today and i have had no regrets at all about losing my purplenum. Erm, I should have worded that diffrently. What I meant was that Purplenum gets the Psycho Wand the EASIEST out of all the other section IDs. I mean, a pipeable rare enemy drops the thing?

But, I spose you're right. I don't need all those mechguns...but what about my Twin Psychoguns...meh. *pouts*

Yellowboze is better for a melee Force, Purplenum is better for a casting Force. Since you already have told us you're making a melee Force, stick with Yellowboze. It may not come close to Purplenum in terms of Ranger weapons, Force weapons or slot items, but the armor is pretty comparable and with the melee Force items, which you need, it wins hands down.

Well, yes, Arc (FOmar in question) is a melee FOrce, my FOnewm, Shade, is a "casting" force. Hence, the Pwand would be a nice tool for him.

You'll never find the Sinow Zele Psycho Wand, and if you do, you're likely the only person in the entire world who ever has. It's basically Purplenum or nothing for that item, I'm afraid.

Meh, I don't really care for spending years searching for a Psycho Wand. The Prophets of Motav which I'm getting soon is almost as good, and is certianly not as frequently used.

Well, I'd say with enough time you could maybe find the Blueful P Wand. But pretty much 90% of P Wands out there are from Mil Lilies.

Yes, a Melee force should probably go with Yellowboze. It's a great ID and I used it extensively for a long time. It's like Redria in the sense that it only has a few great levels, but every level has something worth hunting.

Not quite. The Bluefull and Oran P. Wand drops are easier to get than the Real Nei's Claw and there's a couple of legitly found ones of that now.

Common, the Oran P Wand comes from Gibbles. Even tho it has the 11 star rare drop rate, we talking about Gibbles here. You have a better shot at getting a SJS.

There's no use giving people false hope over the Oran and Bluefull Psycho Wands. Although they're physically possible drops, you could probably find ten different Psycho Wands in Purplenum before you even scratched the surface of these two beasts. With ten different characters, in fact, all leveled up for the express purpose of finding one Psycho Wand and being deleted. That's how big the difference is here.

Oran and Bluefull are not viable alternatives. They could possibly drop for you in your lifetime, but if you're serious about finding the Psycho Wand, you'll pick Purplenum. They can drop without it being like a case of lightning striking the same place twice, but unlike the Purplenum one, you would be nothing but naive to ever bank on such a thing.

Well it depends on a few things. If you go Purplenum you must be preparted to pipe for at least 50 hours. That means no experience. And no friends to play with.

With Blueful you can get experience and you'll find some of the other good stuff that Blueful Seabed has to offer like Imperial Pick, Zanba, Secure Feet, and Soul Banish. If the gene ever gets released there's another good reason to go Seabed. And not to mention the possibility of having fun with friends.


But then again, it would probably be faster if you hunting it Purplenum style without piping. Too bad purplenum caves are very meh.

But with Shade, my FOnewm, his mat diet has been really straightfoward. Mind mats, mind mats, etc. Really, I don't even aim to max stats on my chars. I just play to their strengths. Well, Jint only eats Mind and Def Mats, not Power, yet he's really good meeleing, he can meele without any problem at ult ruins =D

He loves his Pow Sato, 10/140/50/0, but the sato it's white... doesn't match with his black clothes, but Yikal the HUnewearl in white it's raising a Pow Rati with the same stats aaaaaand it's gonna be black, then tarde them =D ooooh Jint it's gonna looks so good!!! =D

Heh, I use just a plain ole Ila (18/0/30/152) when I was raising this mag, Shade used Mahu for TP heal. I wanted extra DEX so the special could hit...o.o;;...Still, a good mag, too much DEX though. I think I'll like it better when it becomes KapuKapu! XD

I finally decided to go with the first row, black outfit. Ya know, the black/gold one. Looks really cool with his Mag, and with the Jester Hat. XD

Meh, I suppose if I decide to ever melee with him, I'll use my HUnewearl to make him a nice Savitri...I'm sure I have some nice colored Mag laying around somewhere...
