help in pokemon gold

hey if u hate pokemon or think i am dumb for liking it plz dont post. ok i am in ekruteac town and im about to fight the gym leader. what do i do after i beat him, its been a year since i played. plz ne help would be awesome

p.s. (like where should i head, is there any particular area? or town or somehting with team rocket i have to do)

dude, that game is so easy. although its been ages since i played gold/silver/crystal, i can give you a tip if you don't know which way to go. try all directions. the area with the highest level pokemon is the way to go. also, trainers who you haven't "battled" yet will challenge you, so its fairly obvious which way you'll want to go.

in all games, if i can't remember which direction to go or if i can't remember the storyline, i just start over.

try one of those two things, i'm sure it will help you.

Coming straight from the guide:
Head through Route 39 to Olivine City. You gotta go through the lighthouse then to Cianwood Island for the medicine for the lighthouse Ampharos to get Jasmine back in the gym.
