Fighting with claws...

After reading the post regarding the true nei's claw, I was wondering whether anyone has actually tried (on ultimate)going through the game using a claw class weapon. I know they are not as efficient as double sabers or mechs, but in the spirit of those ppl who play as melee forces, it could be interesting, and would add some variety to the play experience. So, again, anyone do it?

Claws suck, forces cannot use claws, it would add variety, but it would seriously suck for the team.

Anyone who is seriously using a claw, is a jerk. I personally would kick anyone out who was actually using a claw in my game. Even if forces could use claws, WHY bother? A double saber is faster and can be stronger, meaning it's more effective.

Yes, my RAcaseal uses a mixture of Yas Machine guns and her S-Rank Claw +250.

Claws do rock. And I DO use MORNING GLORY with Aelia, and trust me even the Sinows hate th 50% machine. In fact, I do not even Zalure Gill/Dubchiches.

Kefka just owns with his RIKA'S CLAW.

I take the bet anytime if you're on GC, I'm better with a Claw than you are with a Twin saber/sword. Ante up !

Besides, at my levels, Claws bring a pleasant change, so do Katanas.

Twin sabers are more efficient, true, but they ruin the game's fun IMO, to a certain extent.

So don't try to sound so expert when the truth is you cannot use them.

My problem with claws is that third attack w/ male characters. The little flip he does akes it difficult to hit with that last attack. Otherwise claws are cool. I just love walking around with a giant dragons claw attached to my arm.

Really? Was I on glue when my FOmar was using a Booma's Claw and Photon Claw? Sure they can use Claws...just not the best ones...

Claws are not the kind of weapon that you use exclusively, per se, but if used correctly, they're better than sabers.

In general, Claws are much stronger and more accurate, but only hit 3 times and have kinda weird animations.

Once I find one, one of my HUnewearl's choice melee weapon shall be a Heart of Poumn. I'd rather see more people using claws than Dark Flows...

Yes, claws are TERRIBLE on male characters...they can't use the best ones, and their claw animation SUCKS, well the 3rd hit does, at least. More of a Female Weapon class. But, that just means a male really shouldn't use claws. Feel free to do so, but if you're online, you might annoy certain *cough* people.

Actually Eihwaz, FOmars can use the Morning Glory - which is a pretty damn good claw. I plan on using one on my FOmar when he gets enough ATP to use it. Mainly for decoration - but he undoubtably will use it in combat from time to time.

Oh.. and no need to bother trying to find it. If you're on the NGC version - you can earn a Heart of Pounm by getting the Rakonia stone in Gallon's Treachery and using it in Rappy Holiday.

I gave my Morning Glory to my bro, seeing as his HUnewearl can make much better use of it than my HUmar. I just wish it had better percents on it 15/0/15/0/25

Thanks for the replies guys, and IMHO all those ppl who say that claws are bad for the team etc. do you still have 'fun' playing the game? Or do you just play to level up. I am not talking about playing cmode where efficiency is important, just playing a regular game.

Yeah CLAWS are the best =D, i've been using my Booma's Claw a lot with my HUnewearl, may not be that powerful but it's damn fun, i need that Gigobooma's Claw it's as strong as the Morning Glory, and since the stupid Gunner don't wanna give it to me =(

And btw it's awesome that Forces can use some Claws, Sabers, Riffles, etc, or Rangers can use the Delsaber Combo, Partisans, etc or Hunters can use Riffles, Mechguns, etc, if you could only use weapons of your class... the game would be soooo boring, no meele Forces... And also, to the guy who is whining about that Forces get some rifles. Fucking relax. Forces get the Holy Ray, Angel Harp, and Bringer's Rifle, and maybe a few others. RAngers get all the BEST rifles, like Frozen Shooter, the various Yasminkov Rifles, etc...

With my Humar, I often use a Rika's Claw+35 paired with a battle/unit and I can clear rooms just as quickly as I can with any other weapon, if not faster.

The key with males is to not use the third attack. If you time things right, you can chain together an almost non-stop combo thats quick enough to kill a monster without letting them counter attack.

just don't try using claws in a room full of sinow spiegels/Berill's...

Whats all this talk about how bad Claws are!?! I love claws. I only use them when playing with my friend in Very Hard, (I only have a Photon Claw, and all three of the booma-species claws, redria can't find any good ones) but it is still awesome to use. GO ZHANG HE!!! Zhang He is character in a game called Dynasty warriors, who uses twin claws that look similar to the morning glory, he may be gay, but he rocks! however is whining about claws needs to lighten up, all the attack styles are good (except FOmarl's unarmed attack... ahhh...) so just go with the flow

I'd be less likely to have one on a male char, though.
