See Flowen
Defeat Olga Flow with a Red Weapon and then go back to town via a Telepipe. Return and Flowen will be there. Note: This is where you get Parasitic Gene "Flow" on Ultimate.

In some other thread on the subject I saw someone say it was a 1/64 chance that Flowen will drop it. I'm hunting red weapons now so I can go and see for myself.

Until Sonic Team, "Activates," (As in, online only) the droprate, it will remain at 0%. As in, it will NOT drop. But when ST DOES activate it, it will be a 1/64 chance.

Seeing Flowen is done online. So my guess is the drop rate for Olga at that moment can be modified.
As for the few that claim to have found it. I don't know what to believe, so I'll just go and try it with some friends.
Red Handgun and Red Partisan found already. Doing well...

Actual, you can also see Flowen in offline multimode. But still...

In a lot of other topics, people like Barubary and heyf00l have already pointed this out. So I don't want to sound like some big hacker for knowing this, I only read their 1337 hacking skills and information from it.

EDIT: Please don't start a flame war. I feel like that might happen, but I'm just a simple Chao messenger....

If anyone has "found" a Parasitic Gene "Flow", I hate to break it to ya, but a duper probably dropped it on the floor of Olga's arena after he died. The dupe itself is a copy of the original hack.

How sad.

heyf00L is a drop chart guru, let's see what he has to say about this...he keeps an ear to the ground about unlocked/locked items.

No, the gene does not drop yet. And seeing Flowen does not cause it to drop either. It simply is not activated yet. You'll know it's findable when Olga drops stuff like the other bosses (ie stuff like monomates and meseta and stuff). Obviously, Sonic Team can only activate his Online form.

I do about 2 to 4 Seabed runs a day so when I see him start dropping stuff I'll be sure to let everyone know.

I also check the JP servers from time to time and Olga doens't drop stuff over there either.

So let's recap. Gene is not findable. ALL genes are hacks and dupes of hacks. Therefore there are no legit dark weapons. No, your friend didn't find one.

1 other thing. The 1/64 rate is the base drop rate. It's the same as most 9 star weapons. But you have to take into account if the enemy drops any item at all first. All the other bosses have an 80% drop-anything rate so the current number on my chart assumes that that will also be Olga's drop-anything rate.

So, IF Olga does drop something you have a 1/64 chance it will be the gene, but he'll probably only drop stuff 80% of the time and therefore we have (do the math) 1/80 as our total.

Like I said, right now he has a 0% drop-anything rate. See how it works?

okay, from what I understand, everyone here is referring to online... can't it be done offline. I mean, everyone seems to be so... ONLINE ROCKS, OFFLINES SUCKS, LOSERS PLAY OFFLINE kind of attitude. I don't play online, and I have been able to find some good stuff by my self, and when me and my friend play offline multiplayer mode... we find awesome stuff, so maybe people should start... ya know... playing offline multiplayer mode to see if maybe it is still on the disk. I have my own theory about it, but thats just me...

If it wasn't available at all it would be banned online, plain and simple. I'm not denying that 99% of the Dark weapons out there are hacks, but there is undoubtedly a legitimate way of obtaining the item.

I have heard that someone got video evidence of the PG:F being dropped after seeing Flowen when you return. He said he would try to get it up soon, hopefully by next Friday. He said he did this offline multiplayer (so we would see if any other player dropped the PG:F).

Also, I have heard that if any item were to drop, it would have been activated on the disk, since everything goes by the game creater's GamCube/XBox. I don't remember this extactly, since I deleted that PM.

Just because you see him that doesn't mean that you'll find it. Flow will drop items now but still it is a 1/64 cahnce of finding the gene and if you say that he doesn't drop at all well I feel srry that you hv to lie bout that.
