BT OPENWORLD through a router...so easy, just plug and play. I recommed anyone who is getting broadband and wants to play online to not use the cheap nasty modem one you get with the welcome pack. Instead by a router, then if you want to play LAN games like mario kart and 1080 alvalanche, then you dont have to faf around with altering wires!

Yes but we all know about your unhealty addiction with BT don't we. Trust me, i've been round zim's house, it rarely works through the computer, and the whole set up will cost you near enough £100+ ($170+). To be honest i can't advise you on a ISP, cos my silly father chose AOL... what you want to do is look around at some then email them, ask if the modem you get has an ethernet port. So long as it does, its a decent price, and its not AOL, you should be safe. If it falls through (thru) you can always cancel your account http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif.

some good UK ADSL ISPs are
Nildram
Pipex
Plusnet
try http://www.adslguide.org.uk if your looking for a suitable ISP.

there are better ones and cheaper out there than freeserve, and any of Brittish Telecoms offerings.
