The RANK system is used to rank how well you to in tournaments. I think (think) its based on a global scale of all users, but I could be wrong.

I seen a guy in Antares 8, ANTI, on EPIII and had no wins, but his rank was MASTER >_<

I hope to god there isnt a code out for EPIII already.......

ROOKIE: 7500 - 3500
SENIOR: 3500 - 1650
MASTER: 1650 - 600

They change it with time.
The other day the champion started at 850. And yesterday I saw some people with 930 something that were champion.

I guess they make it by percents and then round it to nearest 50 or 00 number. So champions, lord and kings would be only around 10% of total players. Because I saw rank 9300 something...

its based on the over all players who were on when you signed on, cuz if you do a tourney all day, then sign off, then sign on, itll change by what players are on, and by your points.

Is based on all Episode 3 players not only who is online at moment you play, all PSO player (if you buy episode 3 now your rank is like RANK 10.000.

It's server-side based. Not on any file I guess.
Your serial number is checked everytime you go online and then you see your current rank you have at the moment you went online. You need to reconnect if you want to know your new rank.

Saturday I was Champ, and yesterday I became Lord with the same rank. Means: more players got more meseta now. Ranking changed.

I must make new carachter and look if you have same meseta on both.

Went online yesterday for the first time. My rank was 9548 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
4 hours later I saw somebody with rank 9552 (4 new users in those 4 hours http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif )

Little side note: My god do I suck at the game.
Lot to learn. A lot! I love it! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Can I just point out, that while the ranks seem to be from 1-10000 and the game sold 25000 or so, has anyone stopped to consider the fact that there are going to be a lot of people with EQUAL amounts of meseta? Why would everyone have diferent amounts? The odds against this are astronomical.

Good point. I'd personally estimate another 10-20% of people on top of the current 10000 ranks that have equal meseta to another (not quite as possible higher up, but at lower levels this is very common), making it around 12000 users online with the game. Not bad for only a couple weeks after release.

I think who played online 1 time made a match on tourn just for have meseta for jukebox if this person dont like this game mode.

I think if 500 players are rank 9000 with 100 meseta only who come online and have 0 meseta is rank 9500.

Person with 0 meseta really dont know how many can be last rank i saw online was 9 800 near 10 000
didnt saw a person with more of 9 999 maybe is limit 9 999 ... must wait and see

Saw someone online tonight sitting at 10025, so 9999 isn't a limit. Chatted with a Japanese guy tonight as well, he and his friend couldn't decide whether I was Japanese or not (it didn't occur to me to say I wasn't). He saw earlier tonight someone up in the 10200's, so it's gaining pretty rapidly.

Do find it kind of amusing that since they don't want to make a mistake and say you're not Japanese when you are, they won't outright ask you, but they will talk about it to a nearby friend in hopes that you'll say something. I am suprised at the number of Japanese that frequent this particular ship though.
