I heard that at one time, there was a sonic the hedgehog quest for GC, where you helped sonic and friends track down some dog or something, while picking up ring items that could give you a sonic glove (transformed to sonic knuckle in another quest) if you got them all. Is this just some guy's crazy imagination at work, or was there really once such a quest?

I played it for a little bit on DC.

WHen you started you started with Sonic and tails they were both Level 199. i didnt get far. But i played far enough to find another Sonic like character. As you were going threw f1 you had lazer fences to get threw. And you had to use one of them to get threw. None of mine ever got threw. I always had to use Sonic to get threw. But they had a certain amount of...Uses to unlock the fences. After Sonic ran out i quit

It was called Tinkerbell's lost dog, and you had to "find" Tails and Knuckles, I never finished it, too boring, and it was on DCv1 and v2.

hmm, for me, I could care less how boring it is if it means an almost effortless Sonic Knuckle! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yes, but the SONIC KNUCKLE was released on DC v1 while DCv2 was already out, and in case you do not know 99% of v1 weapons were not usable in v2's Ultimate mode, that's why I did not bother.

That's why you beat him with his own large intestine. That is what I would have done had he stole my PSO.

lol, probally woulda done that, but I havent seen him much since he stole my game, lol (he used to be my friend, but pretty much stopped coming near me when he took it) the only time I really heard from him afterwards was when he called me the same day he stole the game, just to let me know he bought v2 to go with my game... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif jerk

I actually did complete that quest on Version 2, if only due to my uber Sonic-fanness. It boils down to just opening the right gates with the right characters. There's no combat at all, sadly... would have been cool to fight Boomas with Sonic dashing around and Knuckles beating them up. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Still, I never got a Sonic Knuckle for beating that quest. I did have one in my inventory, which I've little doubt was hacked. Though, given that converting from Version 1 to Version 2 was supposed to delete and hacked items from your inventory, I'm surprised it remained. Either way, that may have been why I didn't get that weapon from the game, though whenever I pulled that weapon out of my bank, I'd instantly be booted offline.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if Sonic Team added the quest eventually, based only on the fact that the bulk of their additions have been from Version 2 as it is. It's amusing for a run or two, if only to figure out the way through, but it warrents no long term devotion.

I found an old guide, it says... get all 5 rings, talk to sonic, say you wont give them to him, then beat him and his buddies at rock paper sissors, then he give you his glove, take it to an old man in central dome fire swirl.. and he converts the glove to the knuckle! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

the quest was verrrry boring... if i remember right the sonic characters were lv 150 but that doesn't matter. each character had a set number of times they could open a laser fence and you had to figure out... blah blah blah. all said and done, it was one of the more drool (as in sleeping) inducing quests i've ever played. a poor attempt at a puzzle style quest i guess. if you want an effortless sonic knuckle hunt down someone who might still have an easter egg... if you can't find one you'll be having to wait until next easter because i really doubt st will bring that quest back
