Offline Ultimate multiplayer

What requirements do the players need to access offline multiplayer on ultimate mode? because I've wooped falz on V.hard, so has my friend, we've done V.hard together as well, yet it's still greyed out as an option!
I was wondering if we both have to be level 80 or something, or if it's just not possible.

Yep, you have to be level 80 to be able to play multi-Ultimate.

oh, he's lvl 85 or something, it's quite good going really, considering neither of us own the game, and I don't own a cube lol. It's all done round his house on a borrowed game.
