I was bored. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif And pastel on black paper is fun.
The scanner really isn't doing the colour justice and the reflection on the monitor is hurting my eye. I hope this shows up as I intended. Pardon sketchiness, it was for fun.

Btw. I was gonna post this in Lady Jade River's analogue media thread, but I can't seem to find it... So.

Wow, that's impressive. That's right up there with LJR's stuff(compliment). That looks good all sketchy, and it's now a part of my hard drive. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us desperate gamers looking for a release and escape from reality.

That looks like you did it on a chalk board, and I was gonna smack you when you said you were bored. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif That looks pretty cool, and I think the "sketchiness" made it better, actually. Nive work, navi!

*Sunblast throws rocks at -Z.
(By the way, I hope I don't seem too hostile towards you, -Z. Your antics are a relief from the norm, and I just wish to participate.)

Heh, pastels on black paper are indeed fun. Especially when you only use diagonal strokes. *G* The only thing I don't like is that you shaded it like one would if it were on white paper... IE what should be shadow was put in white... Dunno if that was deliberate or not, but it bugs me. No offense of course.

I wish I had black cardstock/drawing paper. I would go buy some, but it was the ONLY thing on my Christmas list, so I ought to at least wait until Thursday and find out if anyone got me any before I buy some...

Man when I finally get to see this on a monitor that is decent I realized how horrible that scan was. So. Scan is rescanned and reposted.

Yes. It was deliberate... I was trying to do an "inverted" kinda image, was only going to use white but colour pencils are so cool to poke at black paper hence I kinda messed up the "negative" kinda feeling to it. It was supposed to show a kinda demented mentality... ah well, it was a quick sketch and I had fun doing it.... and now that I have found my pastel paper, I might even do more! *gasp* Hehe

Not to sound on the offensive, but experience dictates that a compliment is best served without the comparison... Every artist sthrives to have that unique edge, that which makes them unique, not to be compared... Albeit, your comment was a complimentary one it really did not need to have a comparison to anyones past work.

On its own this picture has great insight and playfullness against a dark and bleak bacground. The lines are deliberate but with a sense of freedom, a picture of someone creating art for the sake of art, not to please others... This is a very well done picture, even if it is rough, the roughness is waht makes it a piece of work of art.

Again I must confess the envy that I have towards those that create these images with such an ease, that it makes me regret that I stopped attempting to find my own way of expression.

Thank you again Navi, and all the other artists on psow, for showing us a glimpse that pso is more than just a mere game to kill time with.

Very interesting Navi... Looks a bit like Ceres (http://www.angelfire.com/anime5/vangarrett/Ceres.jpg).

Whoa, incredible, Sen's uniqueness then remains in her name? And height??

Odd, isn't it? You'd think few enough people would use those antenna probe things so that HUcaseals with them of the same color generally wouldn't run into eachother.

Actually, Sen has yet to run into anyone of similar shape and color as Sen. If it werent for your link Sen would have still been unique to me... alas, such things are not meant to be with limited custimazation...

The drawing is very nice, even if it represensts other Hucaseals of same variation.
