the best overall weapon

I have God Hand... but I wouldn't say its the most powerfull. Usually the best weapons are ones that hit more than 3 times. But some people look at ATP instead of the uniqueness in battle. Example: Would you rather have Durandal or Musashi ? Some might say Durandal because it's more powerfull. But in the end what does more damage? I have to say the best overall weapon varies on what your character is. My FOmar uses God Hand & Soul Banish. He is awesome in melee and magic.

Also, I forgot to mention this: IMO there is no best weapon, and you could never win an arguement that one is the best, some one will always disagree.

I would definately ! I don't like the Lavis Weapons, Heaven Punisher (can only be used every 100 beats...), Psycho Wand takes HP (though a 50% TP cut is good). I'm hunting for Holy Ray. I say that there are many best weapons. It also depends on the situation. If you have access to a high-lvl. shifta, mechguns are good because it powers each bullet of the shot, not just the total damage. (probably didn't understand it but someone knows what I mean). (btw, i'm on the never-ending quest to get Holy Ray from Sil Dragon)

The Spread Needle is probably the best weapon in the game, and concrete proof that a high ATP rating is hardly the only thing you should look out for.

spread needle the best weapon? Yeah probably, but not for ranged or single fights, like dark falz. Then a good rifle for the final form, and mechs for close up single battles is best.

I mean overall. You can bring it with to every area and use it effectively 90% of the time.

... Also, I'd just use the Yasminkov 9000 on Falz and eliminate the need for a Rifle completely, but that's just me.

uhm, there is no "best" weapon. there just isn't. 90% of people will say the strongest weapon for their particular class. the other 10% will agree with me that there is no "best" weapon. even if you had a bkb with 100A 100D 100H it wouldn't be the "best" weapon. there is no single weapon in the game that can handle every situation effectively. i can already see some flames/heated arguments over this thread. -goes and eats some ice cream-

FOnewn can't equip GOD HAND either, but it's not THAT good of a weapon anyway. The best "weapon" is the MAG, cause that's the only thing I equip all the time.

That "It-hits-more-than-three-times-it-must-be-better" line is getting old. Yeah it hits three times, but it hits those three times really fast. When in seabeds, I drop sinows faster with my HoP than with my Demolition Comet. And I'd rather take on Deldepths with a three strike weapon than a weaker combo weapon.

This thread is so pointless.

Weapons are too situational. You have to take into account:class,stats on weapon,stats on character,number of targets,number of hits,speed of combo, special attacks, special abilities (like rifle range mechs, faster animation gloves), percents on weapon, range, resistance of enemies,etc...

If you want opinions, this should be a "What's your FAVORITE weapon" thread. But, that has been done many times so just forum search and read what people wrote.

It's just people's oppinions that matter, I use Yamato and Double Saber all the time, but I do most damage with a Repeater! But I dislike it's slowness after the animation, not that I can't handle it, but others would disagree... @_@;

Well, using a MAG alone to fight Falz's 3rd form is also not a smart move unless you use some sweet magic.

Yeah, you know whats pissin me off even more. I made a HUcaseal today. And she got to hard. I made her kill the dragon twice. Both times she got Musashi. But no, I can't get 1 HOLY RAY !!! (also have gotten 5 Yamato's from vhard dragon, and 2 other musashi's with someone else) I guess Sil Dragon is just a being greedy.

I'd say MY best weapon is my beloved Double Cannon. Although I do have a tsumikiri J-sword, I like my double cannon more 1) it does more damage in a full combo 2)It has higher percents 3) It took me 23 days to find my two syncesta and 15 days to find my Lavis cannon. Hunters gotta love their twins and sword!

I found three back to back to back by doing Unsealed door runs with my Yellowboze HUmar.

I'd have to say a slicer-type weapon.... ANY class can equip a slicer-type weapon (sans special case Slicer of Assassin), but they are longer-range, hit up to four targets per step in a combo.

I personally think its the "spread" type weapon for forces and hunters. Sure hunters could use long-swords but you have to get up-close and personal to attack, not with a slicer. Its probably the best (and only) multiple-enemy hit weapon for forces. Its ATP is low and its ATA is low, too... but with my store-bought Sawcers, I've grinded them up to max and bought them with 50% hit, and I've had minimal problems hitting only bosses.... Olga and Falz to be correct (because I have more pressing things such as xxx/HP or Resist/Blizzard to equip then an Elf/Arm++). And even ATP is low, I see it as this (assuming not a single MISS).

Strong Saber; one enemy, three combo. 400x1x3=1200.
Strong Sawcer; four enemies, three combo: 250x4x3=3000.

A, All classes can use it effectivily
B, Its easy to find/buy one with hit and a good spec
C, It hits 9 times

Fo Best depends wat techiques use

That's true. I'm using Riot Repeaters +9 (45 a.beast & hit) with my FOmar. It's a great weapon for all classes. Hunters because they have good ATP, Rangers because they have the ATA to hit, and Forces because of Shifta/Zalure.

when it comes to the Dark Falz most people say "all you need is a good rifle." but all i say is "good zonde, any grants and GRANTS GRANTS GRANTS" if u cant use grants ya a gun is good. as for the best weapon ummm there isnt 1 every weapon has its advantages and disadvantages. yes there are some weaps that are better (eg. Yamato is Better than Mushashi) but as 4 the best there isnt 1
