Hunters Lic/Serial # / Tim prbl

Im havin trouble with putting in my serial number and hunter lic. every time I go to the website on GC it says my time data thing is not right and I have a old sega account and I cant put my serial # or Acces # in.
What do I do now?

is the internal clock set on your gamecube?
start it up without a game inside, and set the clock using the gamecube setting menu.
