The reason i brought this guestion here is because i want the people who have accually done it to tell me cuase sites might leave out the bad stuff.

All help appreciated. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, you have to open an account with sega. You can do that at the official PSO Ep 1&2 website. You'll need a valid credit card and they charge 8.95$ a month. With the BBA you just pop it into a slot on the bottom of the GCN.

You're going to have to set all the connection settings in the "Network option" in the options menu. All you have to do there is put it to automatically set DNS, or whatever it says there.

Then after you take care of all that, when you unplug the network cable from your modem to put it in the GCN, you'll also have to remove the power from the modem. Don't just turn it off, you'll have to completely remove it from the wall.(or just pull the cord from the back of the modem) This resets the modem, for whatever reason, I don't know why you have to do this though.

When you finally decide to get online, you'll be prompted your Serial # and access code. Put those in, and put in a password. Make it so the GCN puts it in everytime you get online.

And that should be about it.

Wow, this could be a guide. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

There are no extra fees from your cable provider, unless you're using a second modem (why?) or using a hub. In which case, you'd need to pay for a second IP for the gamecube. HOWEVER! If you get a router, or switch the modem from the compy to the GC, then you won't need to pay anything extra to your cable company at all. The only paying that needs to be done is the $35.95 or so for the BBA (one-time) and the $8.95/month for PSO. It's quite simple to set up the network options, as, if you're using a cable modem, most of the settings are "auto" or "auto detect" or something similar.
