I didn't see a thread anywhere in the whole forums about New Years Day, so I kinda decided to make one. So here it goes:

Happy New Years to Everyone!

oh yeah, its kinda odd how i just decided to come back here on a random day and find out that i registered a year ago today.

I just noticed you're from Pittsburg...I'm not too far away...oooo, must be scary huh?

Aside from that, what are everyone's plans for New Years?

I'm going to work New Years Eve, and that night my family and I will be following a routine tradition of enjoying crablegs for dinner. And I just reminded myself that I need some OJ to go with my vodka.

Travesty avoided!

How do crabs remind you of orange juice?

The mention of crablegs wasn't the reminder, the thought of New Years is what did it. Vodka is my chosen poison, and it just so happens that I like it alot more with orange juice.

More of a mental note to self sort of thing?

Well, Happy New Years. What am I going to do? Since my friend cant come over (wrestling practice) I will probably rent a game, play Xbox Live, and drink my sorrows away. Or I will be reading as the ball drops.

Hey, remember how everyone was so worried about Y2K? That was funny.

Have you been watching Comedy Central? They have Y2K + 4, where all the computers that have been turned off for 4 years turn on and think that its 1904, pretty much the end of the world.

Happy New Year (even though it is only 11:13 at MI)

Let everyone have a good and enjoyable new year filled with happiness, love, and joy. I think we should all take a minute and reflect on the joys and sorrows of 2003.

Well, my friends and I hung out for a bit before going to the festivities in the city center. They dropped a ball and then shot off fireworks. (Even though it's illegal to shoot off fireworks within 100 feet of any building in my city... eh, I guess City Hall picks and chooses which laws they care about.) Hmm... ambushed my brother and his friend on the sidewalk while I was there.

Let's see... went back to my friend's house so some of them could finish up their darn four and a half hour game of Risk. Few people went home. Had a great group discussion on how women are evil. (Aren't they, guys?) The remainder of us went walking around at about dawn. Caught the sunrise from the bleachers of the middle school. Then breakfast at the 24-hour diner. And of course, my mom was wondering why I didn't come home last night. Gotta love parents. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I guess it could be considered a boring night, but we got some fun in, and it was nice to hang out with my buds before we gotta go back to school. Sure, I had wanted to go find a party, but no one else was into it. Heh, there's always next year.
